This was another random stop while wandering the French Quarter. There was a line outside - but not as long as several other places we had seen. We were asked if we'd be willing to eat at the bar, which was fine with us. As we walked in, it appeared that there were no seats at the bar - but... More

Went to this little place on the recommendation of a bartender at another restaurant. Turned out to be our go-to for much of the trip. Its a dive and is not for those looking for something fancy. But if you are looking for great food and cheaper drinks, it is a must. For happy hour, you can get a "double"... More

The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive for our large party. The ribeye platter is one of the best deals in the city. (AND THEY DELIVER!)

We went here because it was a Bar Rescue bar. Place is dirty and the bartender never even acknowledged us and we sat there 10-15 min before we walked out. Had money to spend too. Too many places to choose from to be ignored. Screw em

Stopped here on our first night in the city for a quick bite because it was close to our hotel. Sat and the bar and had very good service. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and pulled pork nachos, both were excellent. Kind of surprising as this place looked a little rough, but we like rough, "divey" places so we enjoyed... More

The steak special and the pizza fries are amazing! We love the late night bartender who wears all of the neat hats. This place is conveniently open 24 hours a day and serves food the entire time!!

We had a group of ten guys and we saw that this place had good reviews, but don't be fooled. My appetizer AND my entree were both wrong and they just took them back and didn't even try to replace them for me not to mention it took two hours! The waiters all looked like they hated their job and... More

My husband and I stopped in to have a couple of late afternoon drinks before meeting friends for the Bourbon St scene. I like to sit at the bar in a quiet place where I can people watch. Bartender was very friendly. Several TV screens were playing football games.

I ate here for a quick dinner one evening while visiting New Orleans. The portions were substantial, the food was excellent and the price was very fair. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and the sweet potato fries. Our server was very nice and even offered some other great dining tips for visitors to New Orleans. The evening I ate... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
