We had a not too good experience, it was our second time here and it was very disappointed experience, the waiter was rude and it was rushing us to order, the food was average at best, will not come again to this place, for the amount of restaurants in the French Quarter this is one that you should avoid,

My husband and I first visit to New Orleans and our first restaurant experience was at Deanie's recommended by an employee from Renaissance Pere Marquette located downtown. It was a few blocks away and we were surprised to see there was a line outside of the restaurant. Our first response was...WOW the food must be awesome! The line moved quickly... More

We stopped in for dinner our first night, it was close to the hotel. The food was ok, the staff was very friendly. Not sure if we'd go back... it was ok.

From the seafood boil potatoes they bring you as an appetizer to the amazing fried catfish, you have to stop at Deanie's. The folks are super friendly and they know how to make a mean Bloody Mary!

The food was good but when it came to the check. Things went bad. Following a misunderstanding on our order we asked for a modification of the bill but the manager refused and stayed in a stubborn manner on a very uncommercial position. Very disappointing for a few bucks.

We ate at the bar and loved it. Oysters grilled and on the half shell were great! Also onion rings. Great place for a drink, a snack, or a meal!

We went at prime dinner hour on a Sunday. My husband is mobility challenged. They were gracious enough to provide a chair for him while we waited for our table in the crowd. Once seated, we had very prompt and friendly service. Our server was attentive during our meal making sure our beverages remained full. I didn't care for their... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
