Shrimp and oyster po boys were good, if a bit overcooked. Perhaps a bit less breading would have made them more tasty.

We went here twice during our latest stay in NOLA. The first time was at lunch. It was early and not crowded so we were seated immediately. They bring spicy boiled potatoes to the table and they were delicious. The waitress recommended the Crab Nachos as an appetizer and they did not disappoint. There were five in our group and... More

While in New Orleans during the 2017 Mary Kay Leadership Conference on the day we were leaving we asked our Uber driver to suggest an excellent seafood restaurant and she suggest Deanie's. We arrived at the restaurant and we were promptly seated, we missed the rush that day since it got busy pretty fast. I ordered a cup of crawfish... More

I ate here with a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon for a very late lunch/early dinner. We returned from a swamp tour and were very hungry. This is right across from our hotel. We also wanted to watch a football game. We saw TVs at the bar and went in. We were pleasantly surprised. Huge drink list. Menu... More

No reservations, and only waited 20 minutes. Food was excellent, oysters, served with complimentary small potatoes (strange?), entres were shrimp and catfish po boy. Meals were large and tasty. We really have no complaints at all! We liked the relaxed ambience of the place too, and not too pricey.

There are so many Seafood Restaurants In NOLA that I'm not sure we picked anything special. But we based it on reviews. We interrupted a conversation between the hostesses when we entered the restaurant, no greeting. We asked for a booth as it was early and the restaurant had very few people. She seemed put out with us because we... More

We were not expecting the restaurant to feel as if we were eating in a diner, but after we got over that, the food was good and plentiful! It's a good place to go and share a meal, but not a must go place.

FYI - They don't take reservations but we headed over anyway because we heard it was great. There was a 30 minute wait which was ok but our whole party would not be able to sit together so we had to move on, just wanted those with parties of more than 6 to know. Look forward to trying next time!

This was must try for us after reading all the reviews and noting all their awards but what disappointment on the quality of food. We tried a lot of things and nothing was over the top. Pretty average food. Seems all of New Orleans use the same breading mix, and most seafood here is deep fried. There's much better restaurants;... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
