It's my usual "first stop" when I'm in NOLA the past 10 years... never disappointed and the BLACKENED REDFISH... we'll try it, you'll see!

Restaraunt and bar in historic building (then again what isn't in the Quarter?). Fast friendly service, nice selection of drinks and delicious bar-b-cue shrimp. A little messy as you have to peel them, but you'll be licking your fingers.

The Hurricanes were pretty good and large. We both had very good meals. It has a nice location open to the street. Busy location.

The Cajun bloody Mary here is awesome. The eggs over andouille and potatoes with cheddar cheese in a cast iron pan is a must try. This place is often packed, so, expect a short wait.

I had andouille and eggs, which looked hefty on arrival but was a great way to start the day. Coffee was good and they offered a take out cup as wel to get me through the miles of walking I was about to do! They serve breakfast until noon - which wis worth knowing as several others stop at 11:00.... More

We wandered into Pierre Maspero's while in the French Quarter walking around. We were seated right away and greeted by our server, Katie. She was very friendly, took our drink orders and let us peruse the menu. When she came back, she offered some suggestions. We started with the meat pies as an appetizer and they were delicious! My husband... More

We were looking for a place to have a light dinner as we were still basking in the glow of Breakfast at Brennan;s when we were attracted to Maspero's by the fact that it was packed and noisy with lots of laughter. Seemed like good signs. We ordered Fench Onion soup and appetizers, crab cakes and seafood -stuffed pistolettes. Soup... More

Ordered salad and jambalaya - not bad but not excellent either, have had better. The service, however, was great - Shelley was an energetic and helpful server. Food? Meh.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
