Went here with six women after reading about the history of the restaurant. We love delicious food. Bill was over $400.00 and the food was barely edible. This is the most overpriced and over hyped restaurant I have ever been to. Trust me - go elsewhere.

Part of a large group, but the drinks, food and service were absolutely top shelf. I could have made a meal of the appetizers alone and been incredibly satisfied. I HAVE to go back on our next visit.

This place is legendary! As you enter the restaurant, it has rich heritage. Violinist playing along. Apart from the restaurant it showcase the queen king belongings, their lifestyle. Must visit if you are in New Orleans. Suitable for lunch.

We walked in and were greeted right away. Service was somewhat slow but if your going into a nice restaurant to hurry up and eat then you're in the wrong place. The servers have tables spread out everywhere so that made the little slower service more understandable. But the food was amazing and the place itself is worth going.. after... More

last minute dinner decision, our waitress was okay, seemed to be serving too many tables, but the restaurant was not that busy. Food average compared to other NO restaurants we ate at.

We were never greeted to start. After waiting awhile, we were shuffled off to a corner to sit...and wait. We were passed by several times before getting water or anyone to say hi or take our order or acknowledge we were even sitting there. Did manage to get order placed all in one breath before he ran away again for... More

I had baked oysters, then crawfish, shrimp and mushroom créole over creamy grits. On my top three of things I ate the whole five days. Server was perfect and on that day, kept the cold water coming! We arrived in between lunch and dinner but were not treated like we were putting anybody out, as we have been elsewhere. Proper... More

Ten of us ate lunch here - booked for 1:30 so that we could have a tour of the many rooms afterwards. we ate off the fixed price 3 course lunch at $20.17. The 25 cents cocktail (limit 3) of the day was also thoroughly enjoyed. Oysters were magnificent as were all the other dishes including dessert. Friendly waiter JIMMY... More

Went for lunch. Did not have a reservation, but we were seated immediately. Two waiters to serve our table. Husband had the lunch special , from $20.17 menu. I decided to go with the grilled fish, Roquefort salad and grilled asparagus, with the Peach Melba dessert. We also ordered an Oysters Rockefeller, since they invented it! Oysters were okay. We... Celebrating our in-laws 42nd wedding anniversary, made reservations a month in advance to insure we could celebrate there as this was my in-laws request. I found the restaurant beautiful with its historic appeal and beautiful place settings. The food was average - was hoping for a more elevated type of menu options for the price of the meals. The Pims... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
