Reservations recommended. We wanted to try a place outside of the French Quarter and we loved the history of this place. We both had fried chicken and it was outstanding. I think it’s the best we’ve ever had. Taxi ride was worth the visit. Just...More

We visited this historic venue and to say the least; they need more than one person handling the reservations. We had to wait for over 1 hour and 30 mins until we were seated. I enjoy my meal but will have to decide if I...More

Some of my employees went here for a retirement lunch. We visited since they said the food was outstanding. The food is okay, and they only have one person controlling when one is seated (cra cra). The day of our visit was crowded and it...More

Lady at the front was the most incompetent restaurant I have ever seen, and I worked in restaurants for 8 years. She didn't tell us how long our wait would be, kept disappearing for 5-10 minutes at a time, didn't seat open tables promptly, and...More

I could not have asked for a nicer meal. I dined at Dooky Chase on my visit to New Orleans last October. I had walked a mile or so from my hotel, and arrived around noon. It was kind of warm out for that time...More

I looked forward to eating at Dooky Chase on this visit, and I had high expectations for the restaurant, based on the interviews and foodie shows I had seen on television that featured Leah Chase. My boyfriend and I arrived at 12:30, which was too...More

Front of house staff were great, waiters, etc were very attentive. We both had the lunch buffet and were wowed by the quality of the food. The waitress was great and suggested a local beer which was very good. The fried chicken, greens, red beans...More

This review is for the 2301 Orleans Ave, not the airport. We were excited to visit this place with so much history and due to the limited hours, reserved the last day before going to the airport, to visit. They are only open until 5...More

That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi
that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere
else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the
streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered
to be the very best of New Orleans culture and
tradition is, put simply, just how people go about
their daily lives in this historic part of town. As
one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods

There is a lot of parking in the area. Walking while it's light is fine that said, I would think twice about walking at night.
