Lovely restaurant. Really wanted to have ate in the garden but was full so couldn't. Food was excellent as was the service and the wine. The only issue I had was it was absolutely freezing in there; air conditioning on full.

Bayona has been going for 27 years and it always delivers. We enjoyed another great meal their. Starting with a really good house salad ,a good pour of whisky and excellent wine. We both had the rabbit and it was delicious. We finished off with 2 great desserts.

The atmosphere is definitely the one you're looking for when visiting New Orleans. The service is really good: waitress had the right timing for serving and gave me a good description of the food. The quality of food is good but probably a bit overpriced. It seems the restaurant is aiming to be considered as high-end but the paper tablecloth... More

Very friendly staff and welcome upon reception. Busy restaurant so well worth booking. Each item on menu was explained. Good choice of wine from an extensive list. Food was well presented and tasted delicious. Beautiful dining room with well set tables and flowers. There is outside dining available.

They really know how to cook at Bayona. Each dish is expertly prepared- attention to detail on each ingredient is evident as you dine. The wine list is extensive- nice creative cocktails- and a lovely setting. I wish I was more familiar and requested the outdoor courtyard. I think that would have been nicer than the room we were seated... More

I have visited New Orleans over a dozen times, each time a different 'special restaurant' is chosen. This time a birthday dinner at Bayona. I have followed the chefs career and was eager to sample the menu. The food did not disappoint- but the wait staff was sub-par, when compared to ANY restaurant across the city. Jesse and her partner... More

We got together with old friends at Bayona. It was a delicious meal, with near perfect service, and a quiet but friendly ambiance, despite being full. I can highly recommend the quail salad, and my wife loved her sweetbreads. Order the sweet potato brioche, and I can highly recommend the duck breast. The wine list is fantastic, and the desserts... Can not believe how good the garlic soup is. I also had the duck P,B and J. What a sandwich. Smoked duck that was very moist. This restaurant is in its 27th year and in New Orleans that's fantastic. There is reason for there longevity. Everything is basically perfect. Had dinner on a previous trip and that was wonderful as... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
