My first night in New Orleans and as I was staying nearby we dropped in and were immediately seated. I had the day's offer of a bowl of jambalaya, a small salad and friend shrimp. Beer menu is basic. Service was helpful and fast. Food tasty and filling. Nothing remarkable but decent prices of NO and lots of options to... More

We try to eat here as often as we visit New Orleans and love it. Today had Lassinia and fried oysters. Try the Onion rings as they are fresh and stacked high. Cold beer or soft drinks in great big frosted mugs rock! Love this place.

My husband and I popped into Liuzza's on our way to NOMA on Tuesday. I really hate to disagree with some of the other posters on here, but the place was mostly filled with older tourists, including a large group behind us who complained loudly of all the street people and scams in New Orleans. This probably colored my review... More

We took friends from out of town here to show them New Orleans as New Orleanians know it. We had roast beef and shrimp poboys, gumbo, artichoke and shrimp soup & potato salad. The ambience is N'awlins, Dahlin. The waitresses are superb, helpful and from the neighborhood. The beer is cold, served in big heavy schooners like most local bars... More

This is where locals eat. A small restaurant with excellent food. I have not eaten anything here that wasn't delicious. Their fettuccini is the best you will ever eat

This place has been here forever and has fantastic New Orleans food, The dressed roast beef poor-boy was rated at least 6 napkins, the fried shrimp and oysters were excellent (the bread was a tad hard). The service was pleasant and fast, though not particularly attentive.

Liuzza's was our last day stop for lunch. We had a local friend take us there. they wait was about 30 min, and when we were seated we found out why. It is tiny. But, when we finally got our food, we discovered that portions there were huge, and all tasted amazing. We had Frenchalletas, the jambalaya, and burgers. We... More

I've always enjoyed a trip to Liuzza's in the past with their frosted 32oz glass cups and friendly service. My most recent visit yielded unexpected results; however. Any restaurant in New Orleans will have slow service, it's just a way of life here so I allot at least two hours from sit down to when I plan to leave. The... More

My wife and I grew up in New Orleans, but we have lived in Oregon for many years. However, we go back to New Orleans frequently to visit family and friends and just to enjoy the city's many attractions. Well, we feel no trip to New Orleans is complete without at least one visit to Liuzza's, which is our favorite... More

I wanted atmosphere and I got a mouthful. The small restaurant was packed to the gills with a boisterous local crowd, both at the bar sipping from beer glasses the size of my head and from the too-close-together tables. I had one of their famous shrimp po-boys on fresh french bread with a side of delicious onion rings dripping with... More
