Myself and two friends booked a reservation in the summer in anticipation of Nola. We were all disappointed tonight. While the crab cake was good, with wonderful flavours it was warm, bordering on cold which was a turn off. The shrimp and grits were covered in BBQ sauce so that was the only flavour you had and a little bacon.... More

The menu and food was awesome. This place is exactly what you expect when you go to New Orleans. It was very busy and a little loud, but the food and excellent wine made up for it! Two thumbs up!

Went here for lunch one day and back for dinner the next. Best shrimp and grits I have ever had and for dinner the next night had the hickory duck which was ducklicious. The obey gooey cake is off the charts amazing. Great staff

Make reservations here, I repeat make reservations here! The place is very small inside and you will wait a long time to eat. We did in advance which was helpful. The food here was average and the portions are small. I had the shrimp and grits and it was quite spicy but good. The barbecue shrimp appetizer was probably the... More

Great food, we got the sampler but looks like everyone was enjoying their entrees. Service was friendly, helpful and prompt. We just wanted a quick cajun meal while walking bourbon st. NOLA exceeded out expectations.

We visited Nola with my wife's nephew and his girl friend, and each of us thought our food was excellent. While the wine list is not huge, we had a very good wine at a reasonable cost. The service was pretty typical for what we have experienced in New Orleans, laid back would be a nice description. We were a... More

I had an enjoyable dining experience at NOLA. Tried the BBQ shrimp (fairly spicy), duck confit pizza (nice earthy flavor). I was filling up quickly so I ordered the beet salad (a bit too much lettuce for my liking) and mussels with fries. It was a perfect portion of tender mussels with a scrumptious buttery sauce. The only way it... More

Nice bar which we used during waiting time. NOLA has several levels which you reach by elevator. Very friendly and professional service. The menu card has really a nice choice of main courses - it is hard to decide. At the end we had perfect snapper (special of the day), a salmon grilled to perfection and tasty shrimps with grit.... We dined on Thanksgiving eve, so you can bet the place was packed. We were seated near an extended family group of 16 (a 10 top and a 6 top) complete with screaming youngsters. Very loud, but I suspect this is always the case with the current vogue for "hard" surfaces throughout. We arrived a bit early for our 7pm... More

Great restaurant, great food. Maybe not the best place to take young children if you're on a budget. Pork chop dish was great. Better for an adult night out.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
