The food was just fabulous - I had braised short ribs, just delicious. Others has shrimp and grits which they raved about and others had the pork chop which they also raved about!! Waiters were very, very nice, helpful, appropriately attentive. Just an exceptional experience!

I loved this place. We were visiting from Boston. Went for lunch on a Monday, I got the Gumbo and a Cobb Salad. For two simple dishes the product was amazing. The blue cheese on the Cobb was so flavorful and the thick bacon cut into cubes was delicious and smokey. Try the espresso martini. Best I've ever had!!

We went to this restaurant with great anticipation and left in great disgust unfortunately. The food was absolutely indifferent -- as was the staff. The waiters did not even ask why we left most of the food on our plates -- our entrees included the scallops, mussels, salmon, and vegetarian plates. Even the banana pudding dessert was worse than second... More

NOLA has a great atmosphere, outstanding service, and scrumptious food. We dined there our first night in New Orleans and it made for a great beginning to our trip. The servers were there anticipating every need without being overbearing. The server recommendations were spot on. We had shrimp and grits, fried chicken, pork chops, and beverages. All were amazing!

Ended up with great food but ran out of BBQ shrimp and oysters. Service not real friendly but good food.

I am always a skeptic when going to a celebrity chef's restaurant as I assume it is more hype than it's worth. But the shrimp and grits were really fabulous - a complex blend of flavors drizzled with a little bit of lemon butter - very yum indeed. The simple green salad was a good accompaniment. Skip the bread and... More

We came in a group of 10 celebrating a 50 th birthday! They accommodated us easily . The menu offered many choices of seafood and meats and poultry. Authentic Cajen dishes were abundant. We all ordered many different items and everyone was satisfied and thought their meals were the best. Not bad for 10 women!

Every year when I travel to New Orleans I go to this restaurant. Every year the food and service is great. Stuffed Chicken wings, Gumbo, Grits and Shrimp was this years choice. Awesome as always. Don't miss a chance to try out this restaurant when you are there.

We expected this restaurant to be very good given the reputation of the owner, famed chef Emeril. The restaurant is beautiful and the wait staff were top notch, but the food was disappointing. I had he duck, snd it was bland, presented with no sauce and on top of a tastless lump of rice. We had much better food elsewhere... More

Our server was Big John. He must have been 6'8" and over 300 lbs. He was quick, light on his feet, efficient and knowledgeable. He actually made the evening for us. Just watching him glide around the room was great. The very good rating is my average of Average food and Excellent staff. My wife was really looking forward to... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
