I came with 5 other business associates, looking for a place to talk and eat fine New Orleans cuisine. Muriel's didn't disappoint. Old standards and new takes, with excellent service. No complaints!

We recently stayed at Place d'Armes, and with Muriel's right next door, it seemed a great choice for dinner before the concert we attended during our trip. We both ate from the table d'hote menu; it's a three-course meal with several options for each course....More

Lovely, old fashioned ambience with really good food at good prices. The generous lunch cocktails are a steal at only $4.00. I recommend the creative salads and seafood including the crab cake and blackened catfish. Their specialty coffee was delicious.

Went there for dinner. Food was unbelievably good. Had a special that night - it was pumpkin soup. Loved it. Just spicy enough. Also had the filet of beef. Done perfectly. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

Pretty lax, I would recommend at least a collared shirt or a button down (no sneakers) for a man, something nice, dress, or classy jeans and top for a women, no flip flops.

We did not find it loud, but moderate in noise level - a very nice place and noise did not distract

Description
The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers New Orleans classics like Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Oysters "Muriel", Turtle soup, Fried Gulf Shrimp Po-boy, Crabmeat Imperial, Shrimp Remoulade & contemporary Creole cuisine like Pecan Crusted Drum & Wood Grilled Tuna while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks & appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer & The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic & checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville & when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's best bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan, & is the perfect spot for an intimate conversation & a drink amongst its plush surroundings.
