Be sure to make a reservation. We ordered the shrimp-goat cheese crepes - so good!! And we had the shrimp and grits, which were excellent, the wood-grilled mahi-mahi which was delicious, and then had the pecan-praline bread pudding for dessert which was decadent and delicious. We then toured the upstairs area and saw the "ghost table" that is set for... More

We held our anniversary dinner with 22 people in the private dining venue. It was fabulous! He cocktail area is like a 19th century bordello and the guests thought it was great. The dinner was fantastic and the service was exceptional. Everything was served promptly warm and was very professional and pleasant. Pricey but worth every penny.

Had terrific experience as guest at an anniversary party. My host reserved the 2nd floor so we were served drinks and hors doeuvres in the red boudoir room which is so fun and then had a sit down dinner. The bone-in pork chop was the best I've ever tasted anywhere. Great evening, great restaurant.

Beautiful dining room. Was very pleased they had a gluten free menu. Ordered the soup of the day which was black eyed peas. It was amazing. For the entree ordered the shrimp creole. Excellent dish. For dessert had the flour less chocolate cake. Also very good. Cannot wait to go back to NOLA to eat here again. Worth it!

Great service and outstanding food. It is no wonder this restaurant has been a New Orleans staple for so many years with such friendly and fun employees, such interesting decor, and, of course, a menu that does not disappoint.

Food was delicious, but our waiter Phil really made our night by answering our questions about the history of the building and about the city as well. After dinner we were led to Antoine's table and shown the access to the Seance room where we enjoyed some after dinner drinks. Thank you Phil for really adding some magic to our... More

We ate at Muriel's most recently during restaurant week, which is a program where restaurants across the city have specials for you to experience multi-course meals for a set price (often quite lower than the usual price range). We ate at several nice restaurants that week, making it a date week, and very much so enjoyed our experience at Muriel's.... More

Although we were in New Orleans, I decided to try the filet instead of seafood. I live in the Midwest and thought nothing would compare to our beef but I was so wrong...the filet at Muriel's was the best filet I ever had. The service and atmosphere are excellent. We eat there every time we visit New Orleans.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
