Nipped in without a reservation and had a lovely meal, with attentive staff and great cuisine. I had Tuna medium, cooked to perfection with a side of beans and my wife had duck, for me a little well done but she loved it. It's the...More

We came here for our last evening in New Orleans, and we’re incredibly glad we did. There was remarkable attention to detail regarding the atmosphere, service, and the entrees. My husband and I chose the prix fixe options that lead us on one final jaunt...More

A lovely restaurant with loads of atmosphere and delicious food. There were four of us and we were all pleased with our meals. Reservations would be a good idea, though.

This was my second time to eat here and it wasn’t a disappointment! The fried green tomatoes were very good as was the crab cakes. I have previously had the shrimp and grits which are excellent. Great service & great food!!

Drinks at the famous bar at Muriel's is an experience to experience ~ all of the specialty cocktails are hand drafted by the bar manager, whose sole goal is to impress. Well done.

My daughter and I popped in an hour before our reservation and they kindly accommodated us, even though they scurried us in to a dark, back corner! (We are unaccustomed to the heat and humidity and admittedly should have gone back to hotel first). BUT,...More

Can't miss part of the trip. Go on Sunday and try to get a reservation for Jazz Brunch. It's an amazing meal in a beautiful setting, and having some gentle jazz in the background only makes things better! Food is delicious - one of the...More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers New Orleans classics like Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Oysters "Muriel", Turtle soup, Fried Gulf Shrimp Po-boy, Crabmeat Imperial, Shrimp Remoulade & contemporary Creole cuisine like Pecan Crusted Drum & Wood Grilled Tuna while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks & appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer & The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic & checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville & when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's best bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan, & is the perfect spot for an intimate conversation & a drink amongst its plush surroundings.
