It's well known in New Orleans and it is a great steak house. I'm not sure I would recommend it because there's so many places to eat in New Orleans but I do have to say that the staff is delightful. We enjoyed Trina and...More

Service, beyond reproach from the glass of water to dessert. Each person who served us, smiling, hospitable and caring for our comfort. The food was exceptional. Cooked to perfection, and, served very pleasing to the eye.

Let me start by saying that so many restaurants serve great food, but when you can't hear anyone at your table it takes away from the evening. We had a reservation for five people and we were seated in one of many smaller rooms in...More

This was a great place for a steak. We flew into the city late in the afternoon and were starving. The front desk at our hotel recommended this restaurant. We loved it!

We had always heard that this was a very good restaurant, so maybe our expectations were a little high, but after dining we were a little mystified by all the hype. Although our steaks were good, in my opinion there was nothing special about them....More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

The restaurant you are thinking of That is connected to the Astor Crowne Plaza is Bourbon House, which is our sister restaurant. We are a couple doors down at 716 Iberville so only a short walk from the Astor.

This restaurant is mainly a steak house. They do offer several seafood dishes and salads, but the majority of dishes contain meat.

I've only eaten there at night. It's not so formal but I wouldn't wear super-casual attire to eat here.
