Being from Texas, I have eaten a lot of pecan pie. Nothing compares to Camellia's. Even if you are getting it to go, ask to have it HEATED. They put it on the grill upside down and some butter on it. Then they flip it...More

Easily accessible via the St. Charles Trolly, even with the track construction. Had to wait a bit to be seated since we were a large group, but well worth it. I hadn't been here in a year, but this is a must-do whenever I visit...More

We went for a Sunday brunch. We had to wait in line, but it moved quickly. The food was great, the service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm.

This is a fast breakfast type of place, you sit down order and get out. No lingering over coffee. The best part is they don't make you feel like you have to rush out or offended. Even though you really can't sit and linger after...More

Leon and the other great guys serving the public interest at Camellia are the best. The witty banter, the quick come backs, and the way they make each diner feel special is what brings us back time and again. The food is good diner faire,...More

I was last in the Camellia 20 odd years ago, do they still have the house special that they bet you can't eat it all? I can't remember if they let you have it for free if you ate it all? My mate cleared his plate though! The waiters all came round saying "he did it, he did it!". A must stop if you are anywhere near New Orleans

I really don't know. We were at the Camilla Grill right off St. Charles at the end of the streetcar line. I remember seeing it on the menu but I was focused on the pecan waffles.
