We went to Irene's at the new location and it was as good as people have said. We got reservations more than two months ago, which was good because the wait was 2 hours+. We shared the antipasto, then tried the crabmeat gratin and escargot....More

Went to New Orleans for our 33rd anniversary. Stayed at the Quarters, about a block away from Irene's. Heard it was good so walked on over. When we got there they were celebrating St. Joesph's Altar, March 19th, and several priest were there and the...More

While spending a long weekend in New Orleans, we had dinner our first night at Irene's. Fortunately we made a reservation weeks in advance as it is a very popular restaurant. The service was terrific and the food was amazing. All beautifully served and great...More

We visited New Orleans with a group of adult family members and wanted to try Irene's because it's something of an institution -- and we thought it might be good to have at least one night that wasn't Cajun or Creole food. And while the...More

We dropped by without a reservation and lucked into a table. We foolishly changed our restaurant to this one based on our Uber driver recommendation. However, we didn't add the reservation part into our choice. The Captain, found us a table that we could use...More

We ate here in early January on the recommendation of the person whose house we were renting. It was crowded and we did have to wait a bit for a table even though we had a reservation. The food was delicious and we enjoyed everything....More

There were four of us that tried Irenes after reading their web site and Trip Advisor. We had a new server James, a trainee. He did okay but, two entrees were totally overlooked. The fettuccini was mushy and the shrimp were dried out. We notified...More

We always visit Irene’s on our visits to NO but this time was less enjoyable. The cacaphony of loud voices and sounds was awful. To be fair they recently moved so perhaps they have not addressed this issue. The food was as delicious as ever...More

From one Italian to another (whether you really are or just want to be), Irene's has the best Italian Food in the City! I recommend calling for reservations - this place is no secret. And it was packed. We had a table for 2 in...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Actually, we went and we brought our wine with us. Worked out perfectly and the corkage fee was a modest $15. Of course we would not do this if ordering from the menu but it was a special bottle.
