My wife and I had dinner at Emeril's New Orleans which was a short walk from our hotel. We had enjoyed lunch there a few years ago and we expected a good experience again. What we were not ready for was the level of hospitality. Everyone who worked there made eye contact and asked how we were doing. They all... More

A great experience. made a reservation for a Saturday PM- were sat after a short wait- long enough to grab a fantastic Hurricane at the bar. Service was excellent - very attentive but not stuffy - a very relaxed yet upscale vibe. Food was superb- Duo of Beef and Hanger Steak- The mini breads were excellent and BBQ shrimp appetizer... I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant but was let down by the food & service. When in New Orleans go here 1st and then to K Paul's for a great meal.

The first picture is of their truffle chicken dish only my husband and I could not detect a hint of truffles in any part of the dish. So basically it was a fried white meat roasted dark meat chicken with mashed potatoes and a side of crawfish that was over cooked. The better dish was the trio of meat on... More

One of the Finest Chefs in the World created a restaurant with magnificent food, artfuly presented by a world class wait staff for a Truly Remarkable Dining Experience. Lobster Lollypops were a perfect choice as an appetizer. The andoline crusted drum 'signature dish' that I ordered arrived as a work of art and tasted like a masterpiece. A trip to... More

I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant but was greatly let down. First, the host told me I had no reservations and asked me to step aside so he could help people behind me. When I came back to him and showed him the email confirming my reservation, he "found" them and had us shown to our table. The... More

Took my assistant and a friend as a thank you. The food and presentation exceeded my high expectations. Service did not match the quality of the food. Long wait periods and poor timing. That said overall a great experience and I would return. If not for the service would be 5 star.

Three of us hoped for a dinner at Emeril's. On a two-day notice were able to get a 6:00 reservation. The restaurant will seat you at 6:00. Arrive early and you will either sit at the bar while you wait, or you will wait outside. We opted for outside and a few minutes before 6 we were offered access to... More

Was expensive. I don't mind if the food prepared is fantastic. Believe me, it is fantastic! I and my wife enjoyed every scrap of what was put before us. I had to try their big Pork chop. It is as good as it looks. That is what sticks out in my mind. I forgot what else we ordered. I have... More

Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
