This is a little outside of downtown/The French Quarter, so I planned a morning run to get to it. It was well worth the run, and I saw a part of New Orleans I hadn't visited before. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful, and the doughnuts were outstanding. I ordered two buttermilk drops and a glazed... More

I thought it's a joke, the donut- sandwich, but it's real! It was so very, very good that I went to have it again the next day, and the day after. Yes it's not a fancy or cool place but it's worth going there any way. I highly recommend the whole experience.

The doughnuts, croissants and food was incredible. We found this quite by accident on the second day we were in New Orleans. Needless to say, this became our number one spot for breakfast. Fast service and great food.

Yummy round frosted large donut holes! Different flavors. Somewhat pricey. Fresh and flavorful. Not to be missed.

These delicious buttermilk drops saved my life. I'm so glad I bought several. I was attending a large convention with no meal break. They are awesome!! Make sure you get enough to share.

First; these buttermilk drops are between the size of a gold ball and a tennis ball. They are heavy and dense - I describe them as pound cake balls with doughnut glaze. And they are GOOD. Second; don't look at their website and think they are a nice little shop with all this charm. WRONG They are in the HOOD... More

Picked up a dozen drops and one chocolate twist, which the teen promptly ate before I had a chance to ask for a bite. Evidently, it passed evaluation. Drops were rich, but not too sweet. This was around noon, and we were the only customers. Counterwoman was friendly. Will definitely return.

Just happened to walk by this place in the late afternoon. Most of the bakery case was empty, but we tried a couple of squares of case. One was a caramel praline sauce and it was good. The other was a pale green buttercream icing. One of the best pieces of cake I have every tasted, light fluffy and a... More

The first thing you need to know is that Buttermilk Drop is a foremost a bakery rather than a cafe. There are tables but we chose to get our bag of pastries and coffee and sit at the bus stop to eat. So this review is for the food rather than the cafe itself. We walked from the French Quarter... More
