This is a gorgeous restaurant located within an even more beautiful hotel. Service was good but the food was great! Beignets, Omelets, Biscuits and Gravy were all delicious meals our group tried and devoured!

We had breakfast there a few times and it was hot and delicious. The regular Breakfast tea that they serve is some of the best I have ever had, and I am a tea-holic! The absolute highlight of this restaurant for us was our server...More

On a recent visit to New Orleans, accomplishing one of what might be called a "bucket list" item, I stayed at the Monteleone Hotel on Royal Street. With a full day of activities scheduled, we decided to "just" go to the hotel's restaurant to save...More

compared to GW Fins or Restaurant R'evolution it's just a slight notch below but still very very good. Service was good compared to excellent. Wouldn't say to pass on it but wouldn't say not to miss it either like some of the others. If you...More

Stayed at the Monteleone in October for our annual friends getaway. Enjoyed Criollo for breakfast just about everyday. Excellent menu choices. Personable wait staff. Never felt like we were being rushed. They engaged with us and made us feel special. Excellent beignets. Layered with care...More

We had dinner at the Criollo restaurant. Based on the number of stars we expected a great gastronomic experience and a respectful and professional service. Well AVOID and get to nearby small bistros. We were treated like cattle, the waiters were rude, not interested in...More

Two wonderful lunches and drinks at the bar. We were wined and dined with expert care and attention to detail. We loved the shaken, not stirred martinis, and our lunches. The wait staff was friendly, efficient and competent. Grouper with angel hair pasta was perfect,...More

Very good breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The waitstaff was a little slow. Hotel dining so prices are higher.

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

Breakfast is casual. We did not eat dinner there but did have drinks at the bar and lounge. We did not see anyone in very casual clothing. So if not long pants then dress shorts. Hope this helps.
