This little hole in the wall stand is top notch. We wanted a good New Orleans po boy and we're surprised to find one here! Pretty quick service and great food.

Great oysters on the half-shell right in the French Market. Additionally, J's serves up some of the best fried catfish and fried oysters in the area. A great value and great stop for lunch after a half-day of shopping and looking around the market area. Oysters on the half-shell are super fresh and sweet--from literally dock to table! Wonderful atmosphere... More

J' Sea Food Dock has amazing food! We order the Fried Oysters, Smoked Oysters and Soft Shell Crab. Everything was delicious. Prices are a little high for the amount of food you get but it is worth it. Service was good and they cook the food fresh. Definitely a place I will visit again if I am in New Orleans.

Eastern oysters are in season and they were fantastic. They were somewhat sweet. Great service and the were shucked very well with no shell fragments

The sign advertising the Chef's specialshrimp with jalapeno cheese grits sounded too good to pass up on a cold day. It was delicious, perfectly spiced and lots of go power for walking around New Orleans. Also another great spot for people watching. Highly recommended!

Spotted this oyster bar on my first visit so was adamant I wanted to try done fresh oysters when we came back an boy was I glad I did. Delicious! So fresh and put with some hot sauce and lemon juice, nice and simple but mouth wateringly good. I'm salivating right now just with the memory of them!

We tried the seafood quesadilla to start out. I wasn't impressed. My wife liked it a bit more than I liked it. If we were more impressed with this, we might have gone back for more. Later on, we sat by a woman who ordered the shrimp tacos. They looked better than what we had. We should have started with... More

I loves the owner. Very friendly folks. They offered the best fried oysters and crab claws!!! Went here twice. Out door spot but under shed. I think we had their entire menu and everything was fantastic.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
