Order: Mexican breakfast, Tartine breakfast, Green drink, Cappuccino, Cranberry blueberry poundcake, Coconut chocolate chip muffin Price: $34 Pros: Seating, clean food, Cons: Parking could be difficult Thoughts: Satsuma was recommended to me by a server from the Rum House, as his “go-to” for breakfast and I’m really glad I took him up on the suggestions. It’s a bit odd to... More

We stopped by to grab a coffee, there was a nice terrace to sit at and it was quiet. This is good coffee.

Excellent option for coffee in the Bywater. I was there several times while I was in town. Bright, open spot with a nice patio. Good food and baked good as well.

We found this little Jemima driving to the airport. The coffee is some of the best I have ever had, which is saying a lot. I had the scrambled green cury tofu. I am not a vegetarian and this was fantastic. My wife had the pancake special, which was also really good. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was... More

My husband & I came here on recommendation of a fellow tour guide. We walked into an eclectic little cafe, with a chalk board menu. We ordered peaches & cream pancakes, scrambled eggs, & a green sandwich... OH MY!!!! When our food came out, we just passed around bites from one to another! It was so delicious! We ordered the... We walked for 40 minutes from the Garden District to find this cafe. It was well worth the walk. Cafe opened at 11 (New Years day) to a lineup of people on the street. We were lucky enough to get a table, but the service is quick so there is a high turnover rate. Food was prepared fresh, reasonably priced... More

During my stay in the Bywater my friend and I would have breakfast at Satsuma Cafe every morning. It has a small but tasty menu. Loved sipping my coffee and reading the news in their courtyard each morning.

Just had brunch at Satsuma Cafe in the Bywater in NOLA. It was delicious! My husband and I both had the ABC cold pressed juice and it was just perfect. You can taste the beets, but they are not overwhelming. I also had a sandwich with eggs and avocado spread on a bagel and my husband had the breakfast platter.... More
