This place is a blast from the past, with counter service and a real old timey soda shop feel. The servers are dressed in crisp whites and are super friendly. The food is good, omelettes and pancakes are great. It is definitely worth a visit...More

We came for late night pancakes and bacon and my fiancée had the chocolate pecan pie! He still talks about how that was the best pie he's ever had! This is my second visit and people who work here are fun and entertaining!!

I believe it is just called the Grill now, there just a few blocks from Jackson Square, just walk up a few blocks on Chartres towards Canal St. If it looks crowded just relax and hang out because people are coming and going eating at...More

Your standard greasy spoon, with a staff that entertains with their humor to boot. A solid breakfast spot that is the cure to your hangover from hurricanes and hand grenades.

The food was amazing just as if your mom cooked it at home ( if she was a good cook). The waiters are all men with a great sense of humor. You get entertainment while eating. This is always my first stop when I come.

Six of us came across this great restaurant by chance and we are so glad we chose to go in for lunch. The service was friendly and everything was freshly made to order. Servings were generous and my omelette was amazing. A great example of...More

While this restaurant is the same concept (and maybe menu) of the Camellia Grill on Carrollton the name is now THE GRILL. We came for breakfast and was served by John who was incredible. He not only is entertaining, but a great waiter. This place...More

This place closes at 8:00 PM on Sunday per the sign on the door...internet searches give different closing times ranging from 4:00 PM to midnight. We arrived before 7:30 PM, but the doors were locked; customers were still seated eating. Disappointed.

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied

Yes.... When you order you may ask them to minimize the spice/heat level. They adorn the drink with hot peppers. The Bloody Mary's are delicious.

If you have issues with gluten I'd avoid any bread product there regardless of any claim to be gluten free. This is old school diner food. Based on my experience there I don't think special orders are taken seriously. They... More
