Took my team for our 9 year anniversary, the service, food and atmosphere was on point! Great quaint place with quality food. So happy we went!

We ate lunch at Red Gravy at 125 Camp St, New Orleans, LA 70130. This is a tiny, hidden gem, an authentic Italian downtown restaurant! The meatballs are legendary, the entrees and pasta and desserts were so yummy, we truly enjoyed every minute! And the wait staff made us feel so very special, we know that we'll be back the... More

I had a long wait outside the day before Halloween due to all the tourists but god was it worth the wait! We had 1 of almost everything an we were not disappointed. I'm not normally a fan of meatballs especially for breakfast but they were phenomenal! I came back two days later just for them and the actual famous... More

More of an Adult Only atmosphere. Not acomodating to special needs, handicap, or families with strollers. Owner has rude attitude and not very professional while dealing with unruly customers. Food was decent but nothing special. Was already out of certain items on menu at 9AM. Don't think we will ever go again.

Adult only implies we have strippers and x rated media playing. Nothing could be farther from the truth if not so laughable. We do everything we can do to accommodate strollers, wheel chairs, people on crutches, etc. The restaurant is quite small and the fact that you had a cadillac sized stroller, another guest with a walking device and required... Don't miss this brunch spot! Everything was incredible! Eggs Florentine dish was perhaps one of the very best breakfast dishes I have ever eaten! Red gravy and cheese bread, Bellini, bloody's, breakfast burger, meatball omelet and shrimp and grits! Go! Now! Only regret is not eating there one last time before leaving town the next day!

Quaint cafe with a very chill staff. And the food is exquisite. A mix of favorite flavors with a twist. Waffles are light and fluffy...mine had ham, turkey, cheese and cranberries. My friend had pecan waffles. Yum! Chef is also a potter and makes spice cellars, syrup pitchers, and tabletop holders. Funky, fun place. The bluesy mandolin player was an... More

I had the pumpkin spiced waffles (seasonal), and it was outstanding. It does not have wifi, unfortunately. The staff was excellent. There was no wait time. The restaurant has a very calm feeling to it.

A wonderful spot in New Orleans for breakfast and lunch. This is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of downtown New Orleans. Make sure to get there early or there will be a wait but its well worth it. They have excellent traditional dishes like eggs, waffles and french toast but be sure to try their bakes goods, red... From the service to the breakfast, Red Gravy was simply fantastic. So much so that we decided to eat there twice during our visit! The waffles were the best I've ever had! I recommend this place to anyone that visits New Orleans!

Description
Bright and cheereful spot at the edge of the CBD, just across from the French Quarter. Red Gravy is a dedicated Farm to Table restaurant, sourcing most of our ingredients from local farmers, fishers and bakers. Currently listed as the #1 Brunch spot in New Orleans by OpenTable! Our brunch menu is comprised of traditional breakfast items, traditional Italian specialties like our handmade pasta and famous homemade meatballs, typical northern New Jersey/New York dishes and local, New Orleans favorites. Full service bar, cappuccino and espresso available. Come and eat, I always make too much!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
