It’s easy to miss this place, with its quiet signage just past Blue Nile. Service is friendly and efficient - barmaid and waitresses alike, and the live musicians are amazing - blues/bluegrass and jazz, quite a bit of it acoustic. Definitely possible to have a...More

I traveled to New Orleans with 5 of my college girlfriends and we chose to stay away from bourbon street at night and instead spend our time on Frenchmen street. We went to three muses on our first night as listened to some amazing jazz...More

This is a small place so getting a seat is hit or miss without a reservation. The food was excellent though a bit expensive. The bands were very good every night. The service was indifferent and distracted at times.

We booked two days in advance for NYE as the place was already filling up. We ended up getting a great table at the window. Small cozy atmosphere with fun Jazz! They say they serve "tapas" but they're not your usual Barcelona tapas. They're twice...More

Stopped in for some piano music, ordered the fish tacos, they were amazing and the staff was very accommodating, my family loved the macadamia old fashioned and the live music.

I highly recommend the shrimp and the macaroni and cheese. The service, drinks, food, and piano player were all great. I wish we could have been there a little later to hear the band, but our schedule did not allow it. Clean bathrooms.

Midweek drop-in got us seated quickly and with good service. The food is quasi-tapas with serving size a bit larger than Tapas which makes for better sharing. The piano player put down some nice jazz licks which added to the vibe. We'd go back in...More

This was the worst dinner I have ever had. I had to look for anything decent nearby and ended up at Day dog across the street. I ordered the creole pie and it was terrible. Water down and nothing inside.

Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward,
the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely
residential. Of course, folks around here love to go
out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere
in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the
festivities, well then so much the better! Home to
some of the most revered live music venues in New
Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining

I went with my teenagers. I wouldn't recommend taking children much younger than that, even in the late afternoon.

yes, you can order food at the bar. but the space is limited, unless you get a spot at the other end of the bar (fit for 2 person), that I think is the prime spot.
