Extremely friendly staff. Quick service. Great menu. Wasn't expecting to have and New Orleans faves but the gumbo and shrimp and grits were fantastic. Came back for breakfast he next morning and was equally satisfied. Great waffles. Good portions for a reasonable price.

Chose to eat here because it was located inside our hotel (no room service). Just had chicken fingers and fries. Food, service and price point were all good.

Not a lot to chose from the breakfast menu but very delicious food made from scratch. Great service!

This place was close to our hotel. We enjoyed the food and service so much; we went two days in a row for a late lunch. All the food is fresh and flavorful. Carrot cake was outstanding. Big enough piece to share, but I scarfed the entire thing!

This restaurant is located in the Blake Hotel. The menu is not huge but the items we tried were very good. The crab cakes are very large and tasty. If you are there during happy hour they off reasonably priced drinks and smaller samples of their meals which are still large. We ate there several times and were not disappointed.

Our breakfast here was delicious. The breakfast sandwich with bacon, spinach, eggs, and cheese (I can't recall what it was called) was both fresh-tasting and filling. The flavors were perfect together. The grits were delicious as well. A customer at the next table ordered just grits and a side of bacon telling the waiter their grits were so good, he... More

We only had breakfast here, but it was fantastic! HUGE, homemade biscuits! The service was excellent, and the food was very good. We would definitely go back. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

This restaurant is an independantly owned cafe attached to the Blake Hotel in the warehouse district on the corner of Poydras and St. Charles. Their breakfast menu is very nice. I recommend their excellent weekend brunch. Especially the "Crab Cakes Benedict". Service is just right. Pleasant and timely. There is a small bar. Pricing is what you would expect in... More

My wife and I shared three appetizers typical of region: Deep Fried Green Tomatoes, Crab cakes and Biscuits and gravy. Good portions and very tasty. Restaurant has separate outside door but while not part of the hotel is inside the Blake hotel. We also had dinner and breakfast (continental) there. Also very good. Pleasant service.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
