New Orleans is definitely exciting to visit with the most awesome variety of foods. Our favorite was the Pier 424 Seafood Market. We enjoyed sitting at the oyster bar while dining where we could view the street activity. We were drawn back for every meal & even just for drinks after walking around the city.

The service itself was weird. Our waitress didn't pay much attention to us. She was in a big hurry to push us out the door. I had ordered the blackened chicken alfredo and was very disappointed to see that the chicken wasn't even black. It was okay, just not what I had expected.

Stooped in for a Burger while the wife was sleeping off the previous night. Service was good, but Burger was thin, under cooked ( requested med well, got medium ) Fires were also under cooked.. And no - I did not send the burger back, I've learned not to do that after some bad experiences. The Beer was good though... More

First day we arrived in New Orleans we wandered the French Quarter and eventually found our way on Bourbon St. We were getting hungry and looked at a number of restaurants as we walked down the street. My wife liked the look of Pier 424's menu, the decor was great, and they said they could seat us in 15 minutes.... More

My wife and I went there for an early dinner and people watching. We were seated immediately at a street front table. A beer and ice tea later, we ordered the broiled oysters "they were very good" and having the front row seat of people watching, we were in no hurry. At our leisure we ordered stuffed shrimp with fries... More

Great food. Great service. Best food I had in the Quarter. Prices were reasonable. On Bourbon street but you don't feel In the fray.

With a fantastic open window view straight onto Bourbon Street and lovely food (I was even given a separate gluten free menu!) we were happy we'd found a great place to have dinner. The sea food was really good and the vegetables perfectly cooked. It was a pleasure to chat with Melanie, our server, who gave us tips on what... More

We drove down from Atlanta for the Food and St.Patrick's Day happen to fall during our stay. A happy coincidence in my opinion. We've been to N.O. several times, but this was our first trip to Pier 424. The atmosphere was very appropriate, and the service was better than expected given the crowd. The highlight was the food. I had... More

We went here for dinner one night out of the 4 nights we were in NOLA. The seafood was excellent! Although we could have eaten in the dining room, we chose to eat at the bar. On the first night of our trip, we sat at the bar for late night drinks and dessert! We kept coming back because of... More

Great location and good seafood. Our first time here. Server is nice but the front door hostage kinda with a bit a attitude. Other than that, highly recommended.

Thank William C

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
