A very busy - and noisy - addition to the CBD restaurant scene. Italian themed wide ranging menu. Very good wine list - by glass if desired. Reservations a must. Bar service is available but difficult handicap access.

I am a native New Orleanian of Sicilian descent and have never had a bad meal at Domenica. The authentic Italian/Sicilian menu is spot on and well planned. I must have the octopus each and every time!! The pizza is as authentic as it comes. The imported meats and cheeses are pure heaven. The ingredients are as fresh as can... More

My husband and I were worn out one evening and decided to order from here because of the rave reviews and of course Besh. We ordered a Penne pasta dish and dessert. The food was good enough that we would go back and try dinning in the restaurant but it wasn't great. Now when we picked the food up the... More

Dominica is another one of our spots in NOLA. Dominica has a great happy hour; order a pizza. The food and service is excellent at this hotel restaurant. The ambiance during the Christmas season is amazing in the Roosevelt hotel lobby. We recommend this restaurant.

Of course we were not surprised to find a John Besh restaurant great. But the pizza was very unusual - thin crust with thin cut toppings. We had salami, capers and olives - wonderful! Located in Roosevelt hotel(get a drink in Sazerac or Fountain bar before ( great old fashions) Christmas decorations the best we've ever seen anywhere.

In a city with lot's of great dinging Domenica is a standout. If you would have told me that I liked roasted cauliflower I might have said maybe. The wood oven roasted cauliflower with goat cheese is amazing as are the pizzas (had the mushroom and Tartufo), pasta and the everything else. The can get crazy busy! Duh. Go!

My wife and a group of friends (11) went here on a Monday night. We called ahead and made reservations and were sat right around our reservation time, so off to a good start. However, the service was SLOW. We arrived at 745pm and left at 1030pm (and not because we wanted to hang around there). There were long gaps... More

Although not your typical NOLA style food, this restaurant is great. We went for lunch. We had the roasted cauliflower which was amazing and I highly recommend. All the pastas were perfectly cooked. This should definitely be a stop on anyone's food tour in NOLA.

Best has outdone himself. Came here for a group dinner for 15. Everyone agreed it was the best dinner of the week. The waitress was excellent. We had a special room - you had to go through the kitchen to get to it and the staff clapped and cheered when you went through. Highly recommend.

Alas, I was in NOLA for a court hearing, but had no dinner reservations. The popular restaurants were booked, so I strolled by Domenica in the Roosevelt Hotel. It was packed and had an hour long wait. The bar too had no room. So I had to decide whether to stick around or go back to my hotel for room... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
