I agree with the reviewer that said that Domenica's lasagna was the best they ever had. I am not a big eater and I ate the whole tray. I wish we were here for another day so we could go back. The service was excellent too. The waiter was so friendly and he went out of his way to chase... More

Had a business dinner for 12 - service was great & the food was excellent. The BEST lasagna we had ever had (4 of us had it and all agree... hands down THE best). Great variety of beers and food. Everyone at our table was very happy with their choices. Fantastic pizza & vegetarian options. Beautiful interior, terrific wait staff... More

Great location in Roosevelt Hotel. Professional service staff. Restaurant was crowded and noisy. Salads were fresh and flavorful. We tried two types of pizza that were very good. It's not the typical NOLA Cajun/Creole cuisine but worth a try.

The menu had enough variety and a good third was pizza. We had Bucitini and Maltagliati. Both were delicious. The bread served was light and tasty. The lemon dessert was the best! Totally worth the wait.

The service was friendly and we enjoyed a break with good wine and light fare. The roasted whole cauliflower is legendary and it is more than enough for 4 people. We shared one of the pizzas and they easily allowed us to share two types on one crust. I especially swooned over the ASPARAGO (mascarpone, asparagus, spring garlic) with a... More

Some of the best pasta we've ever had! We had two fresh, homemade inventive dishes that were delectable. One thin pasta with shredded rabbit. Yum! The other was a wide noodle with with shredded short rib. Equally yum! Beautiful atmosphere and very appetizing prices. Plus, the Roosevelt Hotel is glorious!

Come for the pizza and stay for dessert. My test for good pizza is the simplest one: margarita. If they get this right the rest is easy. Cross Canal. Bring your appetite.

If you get tired on New Orleans cuisine, try Domenica for some great Italian flare. Food was delicious. We had a large group of 10, so we tasted many things on the menu - all fantastic. We went after Jazzfest, it was crowded and the service was a bit slow. However, the food was worth the wait.

Always wanted to experience a John Besh restaurant and Domenica did not disappoint! Although service was tad bit slow, Tiffany did a great job. We LOVED the Burrata which we could have had for dessert! The Lamb Meatballs were perfect. Try the Squid Ink Tagliatelle with crab for a tastebud party. Avoid the clam pizza - waaaaay too salty. Very... More

My cousin took my wife and I here for dinner. She had a pizza and I had the spaghetti with meatballs. Her pizza was really good and the spaghetti was some of the best I have had in a while. The people working there all had a nice smile while they talked with you. I like that.

Domenica is a contemporary and inviting Italian restaurant that creates regional Italian dishes with southern and middle eastern influences. The cuisine combines Chef Alon Shaya's Israeli heritage and love of local ingredients with a menu that reflects his time spent cooking and living in the small towns of northern Italy.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
