A local favorite, Sucre offers the top NOLA desserts, including King cake, while their gelato and ice cream are top sellers all year round. A destination place on Magazine Street, with customers often lined up out the door.

The gelatto was amazing! Definitely try out all the flavors and make you pick! It is hard to pick one. We also ordered some mini cakes and ehhh they were good, but were certainly much prettier than they tasted. Same with the chocolates.

Stopped in to taste a few macaroons! They were soooo good! They should be at $2 a piece, but they were worth it. Their desserts looks more like art than something you would eat, but everything tastes amazing.

If you dont want beignets this is the best option for a late night dessert. They have good gelato and a variety of pastries.

But don't stop at the gelato. The cakes look fabulous so leave lots of room. Have dinner on Magazine Street (but not at the Bulldog) and go here for dessert.

We went on the recommendation of our daughters who had visited when they were in NOLA together previously. Everything is high quality - from the chocolates to the baked treats to the gelato. You can't go wrong. We sampled all of the options (not at...More

Trust me that you will be wondering how the heck ice cream and pastry could cost you the same (or more) as a decent lunch, but this place is HIGH QUALITY and apparently that doesn't come cheap. Indulge and enjoy!
