From the outside, this place is a bit unsuspecting. It looks almost a bit shabby, in the middle of a housing estate away from the main road. However, the Po-Boy's were very tasty and it was good value for money. The system can be a...More

Now, when you go into this little po-boy shop, you may have to wait in line--and there's a darn good reason: the po-boys are fantastic!! Read the wonderful stories on the wall while you wait, ogle the pic of Anderson Cooper, and grab a drink...More

I was confused by their take a number system. I thought it was to be seated but it was to order. People kept coming into the place and taking tables. Finally, I was told that I needed to grab the next table that came available....More

My grandson and I really enjoyed Domilise's Po-Boys. Kind of quirky and not terribly inviting from the outside but warm and friendly inside. A lot of people from the neighborhood (college students from Tulane and Loyola). A different kind of ordering system. You take a...More

On a whim, my daughter and I popped into Domilise's on our way back from Walmart. It was around 2, so I'd hoped to skip the lunch crowd. Sadly, we caught the tail end of the lunch rush. (If we'd only been 30 minutes later,...More

Domilise’s is a great, unique NOLA experience! The food was very good and the service was excellent!

Real small, real New Orleans Po-Boy shop. Had half a shrimp and half roast beef. Both were good, I thought the roast beef was better. Washed it down with an ice cold Barq’s root beer. Man, made me miss living in NOLA.

Love this place! We got the shrimp and roast beef po-boys just the way they make them, and they were divine. The shrimp was crispy, tangy and sweet, the roast beef was tender and had the perfect amount of spicy horseradish sauce. The bread was...More

Call ahead or else be prepared for a long wait and very limited seating. We shared a beef/swiss po boy with all the fixins (assumed the house knows best). But the balance of flavors was way to acidic (grain mustard overpowered everything) and the beef...More

Tried the shrimp and the catfish po-boys. Really tasty! I am getting hungry just writing this post. Not in the nicest or most centrally located area but definitely worth the trip.

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the
greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down
the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate
feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the
students living in the area ensure that Uptown and
Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly
fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife

I am not sure what condition you mean. The place has been around for about a century but it is clean and the food is delicious. Maybe this type of place is just not for you.
