Loved the atmosphere and food we enjoyed while dining at Mariners Inn to celebrate our son's graduation from UW. They offered a limited "celebration" menu due to the many reservations they had that weekend, and the petite filet was without a doubt the best steak I have had! Done perfectly, juicy and flavorful...I can't imagine ordering anything than a steak... More

Went for dinner during graduation weekend. Overall meal was okay but a little pricey. We looked at the dinner menu before we went and liked what we saw, with the option for small plates. Unfortunately, the dinner menu was limited because of graduation. Still, the meal was good. The walleye was good but not especially flavorful. The tenderloin was very... More

We have dined at Mariner's Inn numerous times but never for one of their brunches - it was outstandiing! We went there for their Easter Brunch this year and were not disappointed. The food was kept fresh, hot and frequently replenshed. There was a wide selection of dishes including prime rib carved at the serving table, lamb, ham, salmon, made... More

Not many options for eating on the lake in Madison. This is an old school restaurant with very attentive servers. Clam chowder was very good and the Cajun walleye was outstanding. Family run joint that is somewhat hard to find, but this place is worth the effort.

The Clam Chowder was different tonight - had a lemon flavor to it. Noticed not only by me but also by guests at other tables who made comments to their waitress & they had part of their meals deducted. The hash browns and the Mariners shrimp were good. Service was okay.

I am truly sorry for all the years I wasted not coming to Mariner's Inn with mom! For years she raved about their food.. she was right! Wow! I will never forget that steak! The manager was friendly as was the staff! I will be back this summer with the rest of the family! Beautiful!

We have enjoyed many meals at the Mariner's Inn, but this was our favorite thus far. We love the tables that are well spaced for privacy. Ours was next to the crackling fireplace with a view of the water. Lovely at sunset! Our server, Renee, was friendly and efficient. The salad was cold and crisp and served with a flavorful... More

Went on last day of restaurant week (RW), probably a mistake. Place was packed, we waited awhile to get in even with reservation. My dining companion ordered from the RW menu but I wanted something else (I had called ahead and they assured me that I could get fish, it was Friday and they had that even off RW menu).... More

The wife and I were at Mariner's Inn in August and the service was terrible. Food was very good. Well what a change. On this visit Katlyn was our server and she was very good. She did an excellent job taking care of the four of us and understands customer service. The Small Steer Tenderloin was excellent; very tender and... More
