I understand many people have written positive reviews and had great food here, but that was not my experience. Not with the food, anyway. I think it's a cute place. A diner with a history in Madison, and nostalgic appeal for game days and students and alumni of UW-Madison. You order from a board on the wall, not from a... More

Saw on Tv and went here for Breakfast, only had a short wait to get in. What an absolute awesome place to visit. Everything was fantastic and was very hot and fresh. No wonder why it was featured on Campus eats. You guys totally rocked it, got our order very fast. DEFINITELY will be back, this is a must try,... More

Tried this one based on reviews here. The only downside was waiting for a table meant waiting outside in the cold. Otherwise it was really great! Food good. Atmosphere something different and local. Loved it!

Do not miss this place, the reubens are spectacular and so is the french toast. Be sure to also have a malt, the malts are probably the best in south central WI. They close every day at about 2 p.m. so make it a point to get to Mickie's Dairy Bar first thing.

I'm awfully glad I chose this culinary Madison landmark for my first breakfast out here. I did this on a Saturday morning which happened to be homecoming weekend, and the place is a stone's throw from the stadium. There was a short line when I arrived, but I was whisked in and plopped down at the one free seat at... More

We had watched a show called campus eats about a week before this husker and wolverine travelled to Madison from Ann Arbor. This restaurant was featured and it looked like a fun place and did not disappoint. We got there at 8:30am on Sunday after a late game the night before so we sat right down but not soon after... We went the Morning of the Buckeyes game and got there around 730, glad we got there early... sat right down, service was fast, food was great, service was great, It was really cool to walk out and be right beside the stadium, I would have felt like we missed out had we not done this as part or our... Try the salted pecan caramel sundae.... amazing! I wish we'd had time to go back and try the Chicago hot dog!

We went after the morning after the OSU game. As expected, it was crowded with a thirty minute wait. Totally worth it! I had the scrambler, eggs, potatoes, meat and cheese. Serving size was huge. My daughter had the griddle cake with apple and raisins, very good. The cinnamon rolls were also good. They also are known for milk shakes,... More

We had brunch at Mickies the day before the OSU-UW football game. The place was packed with fans from both schools. The food and service was great. It was fun chatting with the fans. The guy next to me had come from California and said that he was looking forward to eating here. This is a must.
