A view of the beach kicking back on a sun lounge? A view of a perfect Bali sunset late afternoon? Great food and drinks, plus a laidback vibe?
That is what Kanoa Beach Bar offers - all within striking distance of Kuta and Legian rather than the usual habitats for these sorts of places in Seminyak and Canggu.
Kanoa is a real find, on the beach in Legian roughly between Bali Mandira and Padma resorts. You can walk here either from Kuta or Seminyak in half an hour via the beach.
There is a restaurant section under cover overlooking the beach, and a section of the restaurant on the beach with day beds and bean bags where you’ll be served food and drinks. It’s important to note there is a minimum spend (300,000 rupiah) to use the day beds for your visit. That may not suit everyone. But that’s pretty much meals and drinks for two, so if you are planning on eating, that won’t be a stretch.
The vibe is fantastic, with dance music going, families and couples rubbing shoulders. If you are on a day bed, you get a fabulous view of the shoreline and beach - super relaxing.
Food is excellent. Pizzas were as good as you’ll find anywhere in Bali, we had some other smaller meals and they were great. Highlight for me was the green smoothie, which tasted superb and is as good as I’ve had anywhere here.
If you are keen for an on-beach dining experience, I’d definitely recommend Kanoa.

We went to Kanoa almost daily on our recent trip to Bali. Loved the food here for breakfast, comfy lounge out looking to the ocean. Good coffee and the tropical smoothie bowl was an absolute favourite. Highly recommend. Friendly staff and good value for money

Small Beach Club in Legian Jalan Pantai direct at the Beach. Beach very clean.Not easy to find at the road along the beach, drive slowly. Good food and drinks for good price. Friendly staff. Beautiful sunset.

How this place only has 9 reviews baffles me.
We strolled past looking for a place to have dinner at and stopped here.
It absolutely did not disappoint.
The food was amazing, service was great, location is even better!
We then popped in again the following night to have dinner again and try different dishes.
Absolutely loved it!
This place will be on our hit list every single time we travel to Bali.

I wanted to spend a day at the beach and found this establishment in Seminyak. I didn't have high expectations but I changed my mind. It is very good prices are normal and the food is good. Recommendation to stay late to enjoy the sunset and sip some good drinks

Beautiful spot, we had lunch at the bar one day, it was so tasty and fresh.
We returned a few days later and sat on the bean bags on the beach, watched the sun go down.
Food was once again super fresh, quick friendly service.
We would highly recommend you popping in for a snack or a meal, it’s wonderful.
We returned for a 3rd time but it was closed for a film set sadly.
