Amazing Food, Staff and Cleanliness

This place by far has the most amazing staff, food and the cleanest restaurant we have been in, in Bali. We go at least 1-2 times a day even if it’s for a slushy, they’re amazeballs ! From the time you walk in to the time you leave your looked after by a friendly staff member and the food is absolutely so fresh it’s like from home. I’ve nearly tried the whole menu as I like to pick something different everyday 😆 love love love this place. Well done to the owner he has done an amazing job!

Great staff, beautiful food.

This is by far the best place in Bali to eat and drink. The staff are all beautiful. Always welcomed with a smile. The manager Sara is such a lovely lady. She is Aussie and is a wealth of information if you need to know anything she will happily help you. The pad on Bene is Aussie owned by Dan. He is a lovely guy as well. You often see him making his way around the customers introducing himself and having a chat. Breakfast is just Devine. The biggest serves. We have breakfast there and then don’t need to eat till dinner time. You have to try the orange juice. You will be addicted. My old time favourite meal is chicken cord on blu. But I have just found a new favourite which is the steak with creamy garlic sauce. I can taste it now. Cooked perfect every time. Very cheap as well. If you walk past this restaurant you are crazy. You have to try it. You will definitely be back again and again. I have never had a bad meal there. Or dink for that matter. Don’t confuse it with the one on Legian street. This one is in bene lane. Way better food in pad on bene.

Best ribs and large servings. Best part is there’s no tax or service fee. Their freshly squeezed pineapple juice tastes like a virgin pina colada. I go there every time I’m in Bali especially for their pork ribs.

Burgers and chips Steak and chips Pizzas and chips I live vitually next door at Sayang Maha Mertha, go past hundreds if times per week. Have eaten there 3 times. It was awful each time (but my local friends like to eat western food for a change). Its all overpriced, unhealthy, greasy fried food. In Bali, there are SO MANY great warungs and local delicacies to try, priced from as little as AUD$0 20c, INCLUDING AT LEAST 5 amazing, locally owned and operated places with 3-4 meters (across the lane and either side of this joint), where the food is 100% better and ⅛th of thr price. They cater to a certain type of tourist and the place is always making a racket, with drunk, loud obnoxious customers disturbing the other diners (and others).

Hi Em Oh Mo,With over 200 Full portion size menu items cooked fresh to order from our wonderful Indonesian chefs and Indonesian wait staff(28 local employees)from top 5 winning burgers to fresh wraps and all your local favourites Nasi goreng/mie goreng/Indonesian curries plus many more,oh and our amazing big breaky with real coffee. We are Indonesian and Australian owned and operated pt pma company coming upto our 6th year.This means we have strict guidelines to follow. Employees are paid correct wages with pensions/tax/health insurance/workers compensation. We have pest control/filtered water/strict hygiene through the restaurant/ pay correct taxes/correct working visas .We provide free live entertainment /sports/events/wifi the list could go on and on.Im sure you would agree that local workers should be looked after fairly and health standards are above and beyond for your safety.Our average menu price of our fresh delicious meals are 60k rp ($6 Dollars Australian)We are very fairly priced with No 1 product suppliers delivered daily from over 20 local suppliers .We are a family restaurant with plenty for the kids to do(Non smoking rooms/ colouring in books/kids menu. Im glad your local friends have good taste and keep coming back.You are most welcome to drop in and have a chat anytime you walk passed,We are there everyday day or just ask for us.We do love everyone leaving happy and full. Best iced coffee and spring rolls, TOP NOTCH

This is the place to visit for a meal when in Bali whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a coffee/snack. You must try the spring rolls! We tend to base our accommodation location around this bar so we can just zip there whenever we want. Have an iced coffee, it's heaven when it's hot! Will definitely return

Wow. A place in Legian that has its own dedicated GF menu. We ate here twice. Each time the staff were amazing. It was refreshing to just read from z menu knowing it was 100% GF. The options were great for Indonesian food and some traditional aussie favourites. They had live music at night. I have attached the menus below including the white menu(GF). We will come back here again.

Amazing Australian & Asian cuisines and plenty choices of drinks

Must try when you are in Bali. Owners are Australian so this place serves authentic Australian meals, ribs, steak, burgers, etc, as well as Asian cuisines and plenty choices of drinks. I am always skeptic of trying Asian food in a mixed cuisine restaurant but oh boy, the Thai Green Curry was absolutely divine! My husband is usually very picky with a good tasty ribs but he absolutely polished everything on his plate. If you love dragonfruits like me, make sure to try their dragonfruit cocktail (or non-alcoholic version like I did), or even dragonfruit smoothie. They also serve gluten free meals. They have a musician playing guitar and singing every Wednesday (& Monday??) and the vibe was just perfect, nothing too loud that makes you unable to still hold a good conversation. There are plenty of big screen TVs around the dining area plus a non-smoking dining section if visiting with families & children. Football fans should visit on Friday where they play live games every Friday. One of the owner is there most days and she is absolutely amazing and friendly. Every other staff are just so smiley and top-notch services from every staff made us felt so welcomed. Definitely must go in Bali!

Great quality and value food

We ate at the Pad on Bene several times on our recent trip to Bali. Every meal we had was Fantastic. Regardless of whether you want to eat Balinese, Asian food, or something western, everything we had was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodated all of the allergy items some of our group had. Will definitely be coming here again on our next Bali trip

Amazing staff and amazing food. Best of all they have a gluten free menu Breakfast was so good and so filling for very little cost. Dinner even better such a wide range on the menu Cocktails $5 all day and the frozen mango daiquiris are my fave and stacked high. 100% recommend The Pad on Bene Oh and did I say cheap amazing prices

A good daily pit stop

If your looking for a hangout spot or drinking hole off the main street of legian. This is a good spot. The owner is very friendly and has a chat with anyone he can. The staff are happy and do a good job and the beer is always cold. You can get snacks or something more substantial and it appears very popular. We had a schnitzel burger which wasn't dry,some calamari that was a light snack and a Tom yum soup. (Lookout for the whole hot chilly) All in all a nice place to hang out. Ps They also have a air-conditioned area if it's too hot

Coeliac heaven

Fantastic restaurant for coeliacs. As a coeliacs I can highly recommend eating here, there is a dedicated gf menu and staff are all aware of gf. They serve Western and Indonesian meals,my favourite being the cheesy garlic bread and the sandwiches, heaven on earth.

Awesome Gem

What an absolute gem this restaurant is ! As a coeliac it is always daunting dining out but having a restaurant like The Pad on Bene that has not only an extensive Gluten free menu but incredible food and knowledgeable about cross contamination is such a relief when travelling. It means even more when travelling with family and the normal menu is amazing too! It has been a highlight of our trip having somewhere with great tasting food and the best gluten free pizza and banana smoothies I have ever had plus eating somewhere everyone loves ! An added bonus was we had been without power at our Villa for an extended period of time today and were all tired and decided to get food and eat at the Villa fully expecting to have to go pick it up due to being out of their delivery zone and staying in a difficult to find location but they delivered to our door! Definitely one we will always be on our “ must go” list .

Poor experience from an old favourite

Visited tonight for dinner, cocktails and drinks and watch the AFL We arrived and requested a well placed vacant table (I have a permanent neck injury) and were told that it was only available for a group of four... Fair enough, so we were offered a less convenient placed alternative.. We graciously accepted this and before we even sat down, a couple (2 people) behind us requested the same table as we tried, and were seated without question. I queried with the waiting staff and the response was that it was the owners instruction. Given the owner was at the venue seated only a few metres away, I politely asked staff if she was available to chat so we could share some feedback on our experience. We could see the request relayed to her by the staff. We waited for 20mins, enough time to have some snacks and a drink each. Still no owner. She was more interested in sitting socially with friends/family and ducking in and out of the kitchen. Eventually we decided, given this experience and lack of interest to protect the customer service, to leave. I have frequented this venue for years and this experience has left us incredibly disappointed to the point we won't return. There are plenty of alternatives

Exceptional every night!

We had heard all about Pad on Bene from other reviewers and we had visited during our previous visit in February. This time we had many meals there and I wanted to let everyone know how good the food was. We had most dinners here, and we loved the grilled fish with mash potato. It was always cooked perfectly with crispy edges and moist centre. I also had chicken skewers and they were the best I have ever had - in Bali or anywhere. I grew to trust this restaurant so asked them if they could source lobster - they did and it was fabulous! The prices are very reasonable for food and drinks and the service is exceptional. Thanks to Dan and Ali for their courtesy and their company. We are going back to Bali in August and we are selecting a nearby hotel so we can dine there every night!

Good for Celiacs

I wasn’t sure how to rate the Pad as I went twice and had varying experiences. The first was really good and with my daughter being celiac this is a very safe restaurant who fully understand the dietary requirements. The food was all very nice. The second visit I waited 10 minutes without being served and asked several times for my order to be taken only to be told someone will be with me shortly, I eventually just gave up and walked out. Overall if it’s a busy night and you’re not in a group I would try elsewhere as the larger groups get priority. The other negative is there are no non smoking sections everyone is mixed in together.
