Delicious food at anytime

Jaen bar and Kitchen is conveniently located next to the Zest hotel in Legian. I appreciated the delicious mains, breakfasts and especially their selection of smoothies. Highly recommended. Thank you Dwi and the rest of the staff for the flawless service.

Awesome cooking class.

This restaurant looks good

This restaurant looks good and the staff are friendly however no amount of friendly staff will make up for the amount of time you wait for your meal. We ordered simple food, vegetarian spring rolls, chicken satay and pizza and had to wait an hour. People ordering after us got food before us and some people were even waiting for their food well after ours arrived and they ordered well before us. Sorry to say a real disappointment.

Firstly we are from the Uk and have visited Bali 5 times, each Holliday has been for 1 month period , we have eaten at all types of restaurants from budget to high end . This has got to be the worst meal we have ever had whilst visiting this beautiful country . Out of the 5 meals ordered only 2 meals were eaten . Spaghetti bolognese made with sweet&sour sauce and the garlic bread was a slice of supermarket bread toasted (no garlic) Nasi goreng the national & most popular dish , they didn’t know how to make this it was served as plain white rice with some cucumber and a deep fried chicken wing on top ???? Mei goreng looked ok until the smell of the 2 prawns on skewers hit you ! Omg they absolutely stank !!!! Anyway I could go on but as it turns out the chefs had gone to some sort of festival and the young bar staff were trying to cook ! We politely complained about the food and had lots of apologies from the waitress But still given the full bill . When we asked to speak to the manager he said we must pay for the meals that were not even eaten ! We paid the bill and left feeling lucky that none of us will end up in the hospital from the stinking prawns that were served to us , We will never eat here again You’ve been warned 👍

We came here for lunch, drawn in by their lunch specials. There was a range of dishes on offer and each came with a free drink. We chose the crispy chicken pockets, sweet pork with green rice, and another chicken dish. The crispy chicken pockets were nice and lovely and fresh. The other dishes were just ok. Nothing terrible, just nothing amazing.

We like it, but there are rooms for improvement

It's attached to the hotel we were staying, so we had dinner there almost everyday during our 5 days visit to Bali. I love the food presentation. It tries to give a western vibe to traditional menu like mee goreng kapung. It was served in a tilted bowl with satays on the right side and crackers on the left side. I like how it was presented. The service staff were friendly. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxing except that another restaurant just opposite the street would blast out their live music. Well, almost all restaurants in the area blast out their music. Jaen is one of the few which tries to give a chilled vibe. We ordered seafood curry soup one day (27-Sep, I remembered that it was a Friday and there was a rock and dance going on in the restaurant). The menu described that the dish is accompanied by rice, but we were not served any rice. Upon highlighting it to the service staff, they apologised and brought out rice. I would have given four or five stars if not for this.

Cocktails are a rip off and only Half a glass.

Couple of us friends decided to stop by on our trip’s shopping from our hotel down the street for cocktails. The cocktails were less than half full( the margarita glass barely had any liquor above the the bottom bubble of the margarita glass, my friend asked what happened to the other half of the drink and the waitress went back to the bartender and came back and said, that is the dei k, considering they were not even cheaper than the other places around. I’d say stay away from this rip off place. Never went there again

Good drinks, tasteless food

Visiting this place a few days ago. Not good as we thought. The service from waiters are briliant. A quite terible that the food took too long served and tasteless. The springrolls were terible. The drinks could be helpfull on this case. Wish the kitchen staff could be improved. Will come here again just because of good service from the waiters.

No. No. Just no. Couldn’t wait get home to remove grease feeling from hands and mouth

Food @ restaurant was just terrible!! Ordered 2 starters as main and a spag bog 4 hubby. Both starters were inedible. Hubbys main was the size of a child’s dish staff more interested in socials . Not enough characters to explain our disappointment

2 for 1 Cocktail Rip Off

There was a sin out the front that said - 2 for 1 cocktail promo all day. When we got the bill for our 2 margaritas, we had to pay for 2. When we questioned them, they said that means if you buy 2, you get 1 free. We won't be back.

Good clean and quick service but you pay for it

I had, a bit serve of fish and chips, quite, a small serving and not all that cheap with taxes etc added onto the price. fish and chips and one beer Rp160, 000.
