We recommend you to visit this place if you are a true carnivore 🤩
The dry aged beef is to die for, and even the manager gave us a chance to have a bite of their much loved beef brisket. SUPER!!!
They serve very good quality meat, and the friendly crews are adding so much value to the dining experience. Especially Lina assist us with smiles all night.
Good job Grumpy!! Absolutely see you next time 💙

A great night of dining with lovely surroundings of this new venue' the grumpy butcher '
We shared a barbaque plater that was recommended, also received a 30%disc
Off our main meal after joining a promo app 'chope'
Was nice to meet manager Dewi who was extremely helpful and a lovely young man also had great wait staff Agus and Chandra ...there was a good vibe in the place all the staff were all happy and very and friendly.
We actually gave this restaurant a go after walking past and spoke to security Made out the front that enticed us in 😉

We had our Valentine's dinner here and it was a very pleasant experience.
We had a reservation at 5 pm but we came 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, however, the staff were very polite and showed us in anyway.
We ordered beef tacos for starters, Porterhouse steaks (it was a buy one get one free promo), and 4 sides (mac and cheese, potato salad, and mashed potatoes). For dessert, I had chocolate mousse (big portion and sinfully delicious).
The drinks were great and refreshing and the food was mind-blowing.
The staff was also very attentive throughout our time dining there. Shoutout to Komang who took an extra care of us.

Very pleasantly surprised! Great staff great venue. We took advantage of the 30% discount by booking for 5 pm which my wife loved with the ever changing sky colors. We had the short rib which was succulent and juicy! Very tasty! Main was the USDA choice tomohawk and was seasoned and cooked very well. The 4 sides and 4 sauces were all good. Desserts was also very good. All in all we were searching for a great beef dinner and me found one! Great experience that we would recommend to all. Thank you

We heard the “Boy and Cow” steakhouse had a little brother the “Grumpy Butcher” same wonderful imported steak 🥩 cuts but at a slightly lower price than its sibling. Upon arrival at 7:pm on a Friday to the Grumpy.. we were greeted by professional security and the hostess staff in the Foyer and asked if we had reservations 🤷♀️ however we were in luck! The hostess said no problem “Table for two, follow me ! …… we then proceeded outside towards the rice patties, where they had a wonderful table right at the edge of the rice patties the most beautiful table next to the Balinese Temple. It was amazing. We then ordered the Campbell beef tenderloin. It was cooked both of ours to perfection. The way we ordered with the homemade mashed potatoes and asparagus and broccoli. It was such a satisfying and delicious meal. We will definitely return and ask for our server again, named “Budi” it was a great time, and I never did see the chef who was very grumpy. Everybody was in high spirits L O L just a word of advice. If you were coming from Kuta Our Legian area make sure you allow yourself double the time you think it’s gonna take to get there it took us an hour and a half from legian Beach to go 5 miles straight as a crow that is. Food was amazing here! The pork ribs are the signature dish and did not disappoint.
The BBQ platter was great value for money and the brisket was melt in your mouth.
Lovely ambience with seating outside over-looking a small rice paddy.
Not too many options for the kids but my eldest child devoured the buttermilk chicken burger.

We could not agree more with you about The BBQ Platter, It's indeed great value for money, consist of smoked brisket which is so tasty and tender, with the pork ribs, The beef jalapeno sausage and accompanied with grilled corn and mac & cheese, it's a perfect BBQ combo to have.
At this point we have a few of kids friendly dishes which quite suitable for the kids and so comporting to know your eldest child enjoyed the chicken burger.

Came here with a group of friends to take advantage of a buy 1 get 1 offer - we were not disappointed. The meat was fresh, tender and tasy and servings were quite generous.
We had 2 meat platters that were enough for all 5 of us accompanied by some wine.
The venue looks small from the outside but one you enter, it’s a cool and spacious minimalist vibe that opens up to a paddock giving the Bali vibe. Very relaxing!
Chandra assisted us efficiently and friendly.
Will definitely come again on my next holiday.

Went here on a Tuesday and it was a very very nice experience. The service was AMAZING. Got wine and drinks recommended to our main courses and every single bite was tasteful. We all left with a smile on our faces, feeling that the waiters and cooks really fulfilled our wishes.
The bbq platter was great for sharing for 2 if combined with sides and starters.
Yudi and Andrika were serving our table through the night and it was probably the nicest and most professional waiters i have met in Bali.
Recommend it 10/10 times! Definitely going back

Been to a lot of good fine dining restaurants in Bali but The Grumpy Butcher beats them all in terms of service, quality of the meat, and value for money. Our ribeye was a perfect medium rare with a crusty edge. Best steak I had this trip. Sides were flavorful. The eggplant starter was so good too. They recommended the right wine for our order. Celebrated my birthday and the staff surprised me with a cake and a heartfelt birthday greeting.
Many thanks to Suriya who kept on checking on us and made sure we had the best time.

Great food and service at a really nice location with a garden setting.
The steaks were presented well, were well seasoned, and the short trip to north of Seminyak was well worth the effort.
The grilled prawns in particular, were a fantastic choice. We were glad we got two of these separate to the steaks, instead of ordering surf and turfs.
When we arrived, we were told there was a two for one steak offer available, which was a great bonus that we took advantage of.
This place is much better than Boy and Cow, which is nearby, and which we have also been to - and much better value for money than it. We will return to the Grumpy Butcher the next time we are in Bali. make sure you book ahead to get a good table.

BoyNCow is our first steakhouse whcih is more focusing on dry aged beef with indoor dining set up and The Grumpy Butcher is our second one with semi outdoor set up. With these two restaurants we ultimately weould like to offer to different vibes to our lovely guests, BoyNCow is more prestigious and elegant while The Grumpy Butcher is more casual and relaxing, rest assured that the quality we deliver at these two restaurants are at the same level.

I have visited this restaurant twice , first time as walk -in customer ( a very nice and professional security member approached me whilst I was walking to find a place for a drink and informed me about a promotion that was going on ) being curious I entered and I was instantly in love with the vibe and the view on the rice field) ended up having a nice Pinot noir and a salad . The next day I suggested the restaurant to my husband and we tried their wagyu steaks and it was both delicious and cooked perfectly . Very nice approachable , and attention to details skilled staff from the security outside to the receptionist , waiters and also the manager who checked on us and was very practice and helpful to the other waiters when it for busy . Special thx to our waiters Surya , Aguj ..

If you are looking for delicious barbecue, steak or other meals then the Grumpy Butcher is a must - higher end dining for a nice nifht out. Beautiful setting and we ordered the BBQ platter which is designed for 2-3 people but lots of food included - brisket, pork ribs, chicken wings, corn, coleslaw, Mac and cheese - for around $80AUD. All the food was delicious- the brisket in particular just melted in your mouth and the flavours of all the other foods was fantastic (and we have tried quite a few bbq places).
Our server Eka was so attentive and friendly - regularly checking in, letting us know how long the food would be and regularly filling our drinks.
The whole staff were exceptional. It's a very beautiful setting too.

Customer service by our waitstaff; Agus & Surya was sensational. The food was so enjoyable and really fairly priced for the quality of the meats. I went Thursday night and enjoyed it so much, came back two nights later. The setting and ambiance is just beautiful, sat overlooking the rice fields… very romantic setting. Definitely recommended for everyone, especially for any meat lovers.

While the steak was good and cooked well there was a delay as they were busy, the night we went as got there just before 8pm, there were many things on the menu not available. There was also children running around the grass area and our table which really was annoying. Given how much we enjoy Boy N Cow, this was a disappointment and can't say we will be back.
