Great place right in the riverside to sit, chill, have a drink and food. Its nicely decorated and feels classy. Our first stop in Kampot.. we ordered The crab dish ($20!!) and tiny burgers ($7). Food was ok, not the best, but we were happy....For crab its still best to go to the fishmarket in Kep (Kimly)... we were there during the day.. I imagine during nighttime it has great views.. good place.. will try the breakfast in the morningMore

When we walked into the restaurant, we were awestruck. We looked towards the back of the restaurant and thought we were looking at two canvas paintings of Prek Tek Chhouu River with beautiful mountains in the backdrop. Turns out, that is just the actual view...from their patio. If you can snag a seat on the patio, you simply must. The views are extraordinary and there aren’t too many places better to watch the sunset, let alone enjoy some cocktails and food. We slid in at around 6p for sunset, and during their 5p-7p happy hour. We indulged in a few $.75 draft beers. Presented with the beers were some of Cambodia’s famous beer nuts, seasoned slightly different at every restaurant, but nonetheless, always delicious. We gobbled them up and asked for more. For dinner, we ordered the battered fish and chips. The fish was absolutely amazing and we have yet to meet fries we didn’t love to eat. While we don’t typically leave room for dessert, we made room for their homemade chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The cake came to the table warm, with the vanilla ice cream already melting on top. It was rich, balanced, and totally flavourful. We nearly, just nearly, ordered another piece, but wiser heads prevailed. This is a must-see spot when you are in Kampot and makes for a great date night.More

We went here for dinner we really enjoyed the food and location on the river makes a very nice setting! The historical building has been well preserved and I enjoyed reading the story on the menu. The staff was friendly, we would recommend and will...return when in Kampot.More

This has to be one of the very best spots to eat in Kampot. It is situated directly on the river - unlike all other restaurants that are separated by a very busy road - and the building has been lovingly and stylishly restored. There...is a lovely verandah with amazing views over the river and also an upper floor which was closed when we visited at lunchtime. The menu is good, offering a varied choice of both fish and non-fish dishes. Our meals were tasty and very reasonably priced given the amazing setting.More

If the motos and tuk tuks are making you a touch frazzled, the Fish Market is the best place to escape in the middle of Kampot. I wouldn’t suggest going here before sunset as it would be pretty hot, but once the sun goes down...ensconce yourself in the seats at the ocean end of the water front and enjoy the peace and quiet. We’ve eaten here twice but only eaten off the the starter menu; 3 starters for two people and that has been plenty. It’s great to find a venue where the ambience matches the quality of the food. If anyone from outside of the country visits, this is where I’ll be taking them.More

We stopped for dinner and to watch the boats float by. I had the caesar salad, which was great. It would be a great place to watch the sunset.

We tried to catch sunset at The Fishmarket each night we were in Kampot. I was amazed that we could always find a great seat for the sunset! The cocktails were good but the prawns with fried garlic is the reason for this review. That...was by far one of the best dishes we had in Cambodia. Sooo good!More

Excellent food and drinks for a good price. The steamed fish was remarkably great. The service was super. Our waiter “Dy”, was very nice and made sure our last evening in Kampot was a pleasure.

Food Ok but let down by a cheap happy hour. I never understand restaurants which have a happy hour only for cocktails but not beer or wine. We had a group of ten who wanted to dine but as there were 3 wine drinkers and...3 beer drinkers amongst us (beer and house wines do not cost a lot and can be part of happy hour). The reason for happy hour is to get you in for a drink and keep you for dinner. As soon as they saw the prices and that there was no discount they all left and ate somewhere else. The food was good but not really up to the prices. service was early good. Regarding the prices, its impossible to find the cost of the dishes anywhere till you get there. Even on their Facebook page, where it says menu there are lots of great photos but no mention of prices. That should tell you something. All in all an average experience and I won't be in a hurry to return.More
