We stopped on our way out of town because the reviews were so good. We will definitely be back. Our omelets were amazing and the wait staff was great. We couldn't have asked for better.

Smith Street is a local institution and has been a long time favorite, especially their homemade soup and their infamous biscuits, which are huge!! Lately though I find the food inconsistent for the pricing and the wait. At times my eggs have not been well prepared or the biscuit has been cold. I continue to have great experiences consistently with... More

The wife and I have been there several times for Breakfast and Lunch. The food is very good but we especially like the breakfast. Homemade Biscuits and Gravy is my favorite with eggs. The Biscuits are huge a meal in it self. The lunch specials are also very good. We plan on going back for more of the good food.

I really like this place but the breakfast food could be better. I visited twice and ordered the same thing. A three egg omelette with onions, mushrooms, and cheese, home fries, and sausage patties. The portions are large and very filling. The onions and mushrooms were really carmelized which I am not used to getting with eggs. I like them... More

I loved this place--had pre game breakfast here and it was just what you might hope for. Good food, great prices and friendly service. I want to go back at dinner time for the fried chicken! Be smart about planning when you;re going--it is always busy!

This has always been one of my favorite places to eat especially breakfast. Over the last several months it has not been consistent and food not great. Stopped by again this morning and was very disappointed. Service was slow and careless and the food was very overcooked. Eggs were like rubber and sausage was rock hard. Just not the same... More

Worth the short wait in line for a table on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Brisk service, excellent food, fun setting with lots of dieefent people, old and young. Cool vibe, nice setting, abundant parking.

We were on our way out of town, and needed breakfast. We'd been past The Smith Street Diner at least once, when we were downtown. So we decided this would be the place. We pulled into the small parking lot next to the building. Happy there was room. The diner looks small when you walk in, but there is a... More

First off I'm not sure who wrote some of these reviews. This place is not that fantastic. We chose it based on reviews. We have been looking for a really good breakfast while on vacation but cannot find it. Sadly this wasnt it either. The good: coffee was great. Nice and robust and my cup was never empty. Unfortunately that's... More

This little diner was fabulous. A homey feel with great food and outstanding service. Must try their homemade corned beef hash, gumbo and "cat head" biscuits.
