A spacious restaurant in a historical downtown building with a lovely atmosphere. Food is upscale but tasty. I had lunch there so my choices were mainly sandwiches, but I was pleased with my meal. The hand-cut fries are delicious!

Glanced at the menu outside and decided to try it. It was early so we were seated right away. The atmosphere is ok - seemed like it’s a restaurant that’s been around a long time. We didn’t want a big meal so decided on salads....More
Had dinner with a large group, most vegetarians with a few vegans. The chef was accommodating and offered not just a “Sarah’s supper” vegetarian option, but also a vegan zucchini boat that got rave reviews at our table. What our group did not expect and...More
This may just be my experience/opinion/observation, but Liberty Oak seems to be pretty well known throughout the city. The problem is that it seems to have a reputation for just being there for a long time. Or maybe it has a reputation for being “pretty...More
The meal was good, the server (Lydia) was excellent, nice evening until the owner came over and told us we needed to leave because we had been there too long and people were waiting for the table. When he approached us, we were waiting for...More

We had a late afternoon small lunch. Ginger sweet potato soup was great. Thick,, smooth and delicious. Smoked salmon plate was okay. Good size portion of fish which tasted fine. Good texture, nicely sliced.Served with a dollop of average store bought cream cheese and a...More
I came here first with husband for our anniversary, and about a month later with mom and brother for a spontaneous family dinner. Both times the service and food were excellent, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere for some good quality conversation. If you are...More

Our food was good. My choice was filet on a bed of risotto. Quite good and filling. Everyone seemed pleased with the entrees. Our only complaint was the wait staff. Early on, they were great, but after we finished dinner, we were ignored. We finally...More
