My wife and I went to dinner at Village Tavern in Greensboro. My wife ordered a hamburger, and I had the Thai salad. The food came out on time, but my wife's burger had a hot sauce on it which she couldn't eat. We told the waitress, and she offered to replace it. Thirty minutes no burger. I didn't want... More

Every time I drive by the Village Tavern the place is mobbed and there are no parking spaces and people are waiting outside the door. I made a reservation through open table, highly recommended, and we were seated on time. The beer list is good, the food was great, and the service was even better. Great atmosphere. The carrot cake... More

We ordered the pimento cheese dip appetizer which was good. It arrived hot and timely. Ordered the "Ten Spices Glazed Fresh Atlantic Salmon" with sauteed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner. It was a square, frozen salmon patty smothered in a sweet sauce that was a cross between a teriyaki sauce and a BBQ sauce. One would expect a... More

We sat in the bar on a Friday afternoon at 2:00. It was not busy and very quiet. We enjoyed the food and drinks. It was a great afternoon!

We visited on a recent Saturday night. Reservations are STRONGLY suggested. They use Open Table so it is easy. This is a VERY popular place, we arrived at 6 PM and they were full. They have a large and lovely outdoor court, but it was not in use the day that we visited because it was too chilly. By the... More

Took the family here for my daughter's birthday and while I will admit it was a busy Saturday evening the service was very sub-par. Our waitress was either overwhelmed, too new or just not good but we had to ask other servers and the manager several times for everything from more drinks to silverware to even the check. As for... We had a family dinner and made a reservation ahead of time. When making the reservation we asked for the Manger, her name was Judy. We explained we were celebrating an anniversary and birthday for family members. I was told they would bring out a complimentary dessert for the birthday and anniversary. When we arrived and checked in, we asked... More

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times while visiting family in Greensboro over the past year. This last experience was not as good as before. The waitstaff were not paying full attention to our group and while they delivered the food timely, our salads had no dressing, no condiments for burgers, and they completely messed up a prime...
