My husband and I always stop here for supper at least once when visiting Gatlinburg. The Parmesan trout is my absolute favorite but it is always delicious. We just visited for our 3rd anniversary and the staff took the time to sign a card for us!!!

This place is so old, it is charming. The server was the same person who made the desserts and the sides. The only down side was they were out of my first 2 choices. Must try this if you like fresh trout. They do have a great prime rib also.

This is a small, busy restaurant, so I suggest you have reservations. We have eaten here several times on our visits to the Smoky Mountains. The food is excellent, I especially like the Smokey Mountain Trout and the Pan Crispy Fried Mountain Trout, all are of the freshest quality. You are served hush puppies when you sit down, so you... Yes, best trout in town. They recently opened up the 2nd floor for dining. We got table by the window so could watch below while enjoying those hush puppies. My husband and I both had the trout cakes which were like heaven on a plate! And the baked potato was perfect. Only problem was that we didn't have room for... More

had the best trout and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this small but wonderful place. It is a dinner place so be prepared for possible waiting of 30 mins. But it's truly a great meal and service. Not fancy so don't get all dressed up unless you want to. Coleslaw was very nice and I have to say we were... More

Smoky Mountain Trout House prides itself on offering absolutely the freshest trout in Gatlinburg. Our trout are ice packed directly to the restaurant. Once it has arrived we take great care in our preparing your selection exactly as you like. All of the trout served in this restaurant are Rainbow Trout, grown in the sparkling clear waters of the Smokies. The purity and flavor of mountain trout offered great pleasure to the original settlers of the Smokies. So... have a seat, rest a spell and you, too, can enjoy a special treat... real Smoky Mountain trout! Thank you for visiting us and remember to treat yourself to trout... It's as good as all outdoors!
