mainly because of the managers they come they greet you show you if you eat like a family you should be part of there family, sometimes they give free sake it's worth going there to try the different sushi they make.

This is our favorite neighborhood Japanese restaurant. The attention impeccable. The food is very good, portion and sizes of sushi, sashimi and rolls are perfect. You feel right at home once you enter. We eat lunch and/or dinner and never left disappointed. prices are adequate for what you get.

eaten there and ordered more from different locations (brooklyn and staten island) quality is always there. prefer to order rather than eat in - gets loud and crowded. although more perks for eating in - you get some stuff on the house such as sake

Stopped for a quick lunch on the advice of the locals. Everything was fresh. Portions were very generous. Kani salad was excellent. Edamame were piping hot. A few vegetarian options on the menu. Prompt service.

I have been coming here for several years, and the food is always good, and sushi and rolls fresh. Waitstaff is friendly and the restaurant has recently been remodeled with a very pretty upscale vibe. Prices are reasonable and comparable, highly recommend!

I've been coming to Chikurin for about 6 years now, and I bring all my friends here. The service is great, the food is amazing, and you can't beat the price. $2.50 regular rolls (large, fresh pieces) and $5-11 special rolls. And I've been to lots of other restaurants in Brooklyn that offer half-priced sushi, and in plenty of full-priced... More

They're so good, there was a week when I ordered from them everyday. The serving is big, fish is fresh and the beef yakitori is so tender!

Very nice place with great quality sushi and rolls. Only Philadelphia rolls were bit less than perfect, due to salted salmon, but rest were very very good

I go here with friends at least once a week. The heavy handed rolls are filling, delicious, and extremely affordable. There is a list of $2.50 rolls that include a great selection of rolls like the tempura chicken/shrimp roll, ginza roll, Philadelphia roll, Boston roll, and more. The service is excellent, especially if you get our favorite waiter, Tommy. I... More
