Only eat the Pho (the number one), because everything else on their menu is "eh". It is nothing special, tastes average.

I don't usually like giving a poor review to an establishment that I've been going to as long as I've been coming to this one, but my outing here with my family last night was the final straw. Just to give anyone that reads my review a background about myself, I've been coming to this restaurant since 1991 when I... More

There are two Vietnamese places on Avenue U. I always get confused as to which is the one that I like. So I went to Pho Hoai and found out that it was the other place. To start, our waitress was totally inattentive. And yes, I should be used to mediocre service at Chinese/Asian joints but this was just bad.... More

Ok service. Ok dishes. Ok atmosphere. Big portions. Definitely NOT out if this world. Vet busy. The entire experience was just ok.

Very tasty dishes. First time eating in, have had take out in the past (and that rarely translates well in the transport). Had the crispy squid with garlic, very light coating and well drained of oil. The fermented veges underneath are a very nice compliment. It comes with a dipping sauce that can be altered at the table, sweet and... More

This popular neighbourhood eatery has a huge selection of soups, rice and noodle dishes. Overjoyed that they had my beloved Bo Kho (spicy beef brisket soup) on the menu inspired my full confidence in the kitchen; we ordered crispy noodles with seafood ($12 for a huge serving) and curried squid on rice ($7.50). Both were fresh and firm, with enough... More

Had to wait extremely long time for food. One person in my party did not even get their dish until everyone else at the table was finished eating. Had to ask three times until I received my drink. Constantly ignored us. Dirty looks. No personality, no hospitality. Would never go there again!

Pho is Vietnamese soup. This is as good as you will get it. One bowl is more than enough for a hearty lunch. Share and and order one of their tasty dishes and you will be very satisfied. I am a spring roll maven. These are the best spring rolls I have ever had. The soup comes with bean sprouts... More

My husband and I had such a good time here. The place is bustling, congenial atmosphere. The food is very good. We're always satisfied. The spring rolls and the shrimp salad are tasty. My husband had the rice with beef cubes which he enjoyed a lot. I had chicken. I like Vietnamese food but don't know all the dishes, so... More
