Very filling. The friend who came with me here is Mexican and said the food was authentic! So so good and worth any wait you may have for a table as it is a small, cozy place.

Went here for lunch with a friend (cash only) and was happy to see one of my favorite mexican dishes was on the menu, chilaquiles. A little varied from what I've come to know as "traditional" but also some of the best I've ever had!

It was hard to find a good Mexican place having moved to NY from California, and Pequena is just so above the rest of Mexican restaurants, there is really no point going anywhere else after eating here. Their guacamole has big pieces of avocado and is always fresh, delicious and plenty. Service is great and very friendly. Prices are fair... More

Be prepared for very tight seating and great food. Say hi to your table neighbors, you'll be sitting very close to them. We dined here 5 or 6 times and picked it as one of our go-to places. I loved the feel of the place and the nachos.

Went for lunch with friends sometime between lunch and dinner. It's VERY small inside (there is seating in the front, outside) so glad we got there before it filled up nearer dinner. And every table was full when we left. But on to the meal...ordered some fried plantains to munch on while we waited for the main course. OMGoodness, SO... More

I would recommend this place. It has a quirky kitschy atmosphere and good food. Chicken enchiladas were pretty good and so was the service.

You feel as though you are eating in a friends house, albeit a friend with a somewhat quirky taste in home decor. The kitchen is clearly visible from some tables. The food was excellent and very good value for money. Service was good and friendly too. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinnner.

Wanted to find a place to eat something before going to a concert at the Barclay Center. Walked around and was going to originally go to the Smoke House, but it didn't have a nice ambiance and honestly didn't seem to appealing to my friends, so we walked around and just around the corner we found Pequena. Tiny place! But... More

Stopped by Pequena on a recommendation from a friend who lives in Harlem but travels to Brooklyn, just for their tacos. The location is great. Close to Barclays Center and Brooklyn Academy of Music. It's right in the heart of Fort Green. The location is right outside of one of the G train entrances and is attached to a local... More

We wanted to really like this place - but unfortunately thought it was a very average experience. The dining room is small and you are seated very close to one another - which isn't really atypicaly for Brooklyn or the areas restaurants. The noise level is OK but the room is very dark - you almost need a reading light/theater... More
