Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good food at the grill and also good beer. Service really impacted the experience negatively. I rounded the bill up to tip the service and then was challenged “is there something wrong with the service, I usually expect a 20% tip” I said “no I...rounded up and provided what change I had”. The waitress then followed us outside and said “what was wrong with the service?” I replied and said “no, I merely provided what change I had” she then remarked back “well next time maybe go to the grocery store”. This service was extremely rude and ruined the experience which was positive apart from this rude waitress!More

Williamsburgh (yep, with an h) is one of my favorite areas in New York. Radegast Hall is conveniently located a few blocks walk from the Domino Park. After spending time watching sunset over East River, head over for some drinks and music. The place was...reasonably crowded for the Saturday night. Did not try any food, so cannot comment on that.More

Big No, it was a bad experience, seeing the cook touching the food with his hands without gloves after touching money and credit cards was not nice.

I would like to leave a complaint for Manager Peter. He has been surprisingly rude to me when I asked him for help in locating a valuable possession of mine, a gift of a musical instrument of quite some value, which was left in the...Hall on Saturday night the 19th of March. He told me to own up to my mistake of losing this( I do) and called me immature and a waste of his time. He said that all the employees time are valuable and that helping me out will mean to waste his and their time, which I understand and so offered to pay whatever recovery fee is appropriate. He got furthermore angry accusing me of blaming the employees of the hall for stealing it. ( completely ridiculous and definitely not my intent) Was it really necessary to become so angry when all I did was ask for his help? I simply wanted to figure out where my bag, which was left at one of the tables in the Hall went... Given that we left at around 1 am on the morning of the 20th this would not be an incredible task, taking up at most 15 minutes or less of simply checking the footage of our group around that time, and would mean so much to me. Meanwhile I have been a patron of the BeerHall over more than a decade bringing countless friends here over the years including a party of more than 20 people there just last week. I guess the money we have paid there hasn't earned us an ounce of respect from him or even simply a common instinct to help another human being much less a loyal patron. I understand if he doesn't want to help but is rude and unprofessional behavior really necessary? He hang up on me twice before allowing me to finish my sentences, asking him for his help and before I could offer to pay for this service of recovering the item. As for all the insults Id like him to know that I am a fireman with the FDNY and risked my life more times than I can count to help people who are total strangers to me and I would still do the same for him, even though he cant offer 15 minutes of his time to help me.More

My friends and I had a really fun time after accidentally stumbling upon Radegast. The restaurant/biergarten is huge and we sat at one of the picnic tables. The beer was great, service was excellent and the music and atmosphere was 10/10. It's loud, I wouldn't...bring kids. We didn't have any food but it smelled great.More

This is huge space which gets filled quickly. The food and drinks were good. The service was really good. Seating can be challenging with strangely shaped tables and chairs but that is all part of the fun vibe.

We walked into this biergarten on a Saturday afternoon, just looking for a place to have a beer. What a pleasant surprise to see a happy, crowded place with a band that played favorites nonstop. If in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, you MUST visit this friendly, popular...biergarten. We will return!More

During my trips to NYC I’ve been working my way through the German restaurants. While all of my experiences have been positive, I liked the interior and theme of this place more than all the others. There were more than a few beers on the...menu I had not yet had, which says something in and of itself. Very tasty goulash, though I wish the portion was larger. The pretzel I had with it was excellent. Would definitely return the next time I’m in NYC.More

Turned 30 today and flew all the way from London to celebrate with my best friend. We had been recommended and told to try this place out, only to be spoken to like idiots by the manager because I didn't have a physical ID. Even...though I had a photo of my passport on my phone, he wasn't interested and he told be to contact the state regarding my ID... what an idiot. No idea what hospitality is all about and America is clearly missing the trick... treat people with respect and not like 19 year old school girls and you will be amazed by the results. #loseralertMore

Are your non celiac friends heading to a bar for a big Oktoberfest celebration? Porblem solved. Some call this the best beer hall in NYC. I have not been to too many, because gluten. This one has a nice gluten free beer(Green's) from Belgium. Also...wine, a few ciders, and cocktails. But let's face it, who wants to go to a beer hall and not drink beer like everyone else. great atmosphere. Lively and fun. I went with a group of about 10, during the height of Oktoberfest season. We got a nice long table and the vibe could not have been better. As far as food, they do not cater to the gluten free but you could hack something like a cheese plate, steak, or salad. The main thing is to be part of the fun. You may or may not remember the food.More

Went in for lunch with an old friend after some business - recon of the hipster retailers of Williamsburg/Bushwick. Great atmosphere. Good selection of draft beers. Excellent house made sausages. Thoroughly enjoyed. Beer Hall style seating - rows of shared massive oak tables. Felt quite...authentic, not a cheesy imitation.More

The beer hall is so cool that you want to put it down in parts and transport it home.Gigantic selection, food side a little more spartan. Must pinch me in the arm, otherwise I believe that I have moved to a Central European city in...the 30´s.More

Met friends & family here for Sunday brunch. A wide variety of food & drink choices. The blueberry ricotta pancakes were fantastic. Lots of egg dishes (steak & eggs, latkes & eggs, shakshuka), as well as German inspired food. And a huge variety of beers!...The live jazz musicians were awesome & created a great fun atmosphere. Very casual & welcoming - good for couples, families with kids, and friends gathering for a relaxing Sunday.More
