Very cozy (and busy) but worth any wait. The mussels were amazing: the flavors took me back to Cinque Terre!

We had brunch here today. Delightful room filled with families and friends for Easter brunch. Not a big place, not an expense account place, more like a neighborhood joint. The brunch menu was short, but my frittata was delicious supported by a lovely glass of prosecco. No reservations for parties under 6 guests. A great choice if in Park Slope... More

After a recent visit to the Brooklyn Museum, we turned a few corners and found this wonderful little restaurant. Seats about 50 people, but is worth a tiny wait if there is one. Lots of charm in the interior with wonderful tin ceiling and eclectic "old worldish" art on the walls. The real surprise is the sophisticated northern Italian cuisine.... More

I've been coming to this restaurant since it first opened 15 years ago. I have had dozens of meals here and the service and food is always exceptional. I have had everything on the menu, multiple times over, and there is not a single item that is less than exceptional.

We ordered the TORTELLI DI ZUCCA and the CASUNZIEI. The Casunziei were a beet ravioli, and the Tortelli di Zucca were ravioli filled with roasted squash and mascarpone. The tortelli were the favorite!

Al Di La Trattoria has been a local favorite in Brooklyn for at least the past 10 years. The restaurant is almost always full for dinner so it is great when you have an occasion to bring a party of six or more so you can make a reservation. We had such an occasion a couple of weekends ago. Interestingly,... More

Trying to understand the raving reviews on Trip Advisor. Don't get me wrong ...the food and atmosphere in this small restaurant were good. It just wasn't outstanding. I started with the steamed mussels. They were fresh and very tasty ...however they came to the table luke warm. My next course was spaghetti with clams. It was very good ...just not... More

Anything you have here will be delicious. This cozy, friendly, and beautiful little place has excellent rustic and completely unpretentious Italian dishes. The waiters are all well-informed, efficient, and friendly. The menu changes depending upon what's in season and in the market, and you really could order anything and be delighted. Very busy at lunch and dinner, so you might... More

We all opted for the salad of oranges, onion, fennel and pomegranate seeds followed by polenta with mushrooms and greens topped with a poached egg, and we were delighted with the beautiful full flavors and subtle combinations in our selections. Portion size was excellent, but they were so tasty that we felt it necessary to try a couple of desserts... More

Never dissatisfied at this quaint spot. The food is simply well done! Portions aren't large but well appointed. Flavors are full & rich. Seasonal menu, not a huge selection however it works. Wish there was a larger variety of reds by the glass. Cocktails are up to par. The space is warm and cozy with dim candlelight, great for date night.... More
