Ordered the oxtail and two sides. It cost roughly $17. The container the food came in was small. I had about five pieces of oxtail. Although very good there was not a lot of meat. The mac n cheese was okay. My son liked it a lot and I thought it was so so. I asked the servers/cashiers what they... More

Our group visited Brooklyn for work & stopped by the conveniently located restaurant. The food was fresh, well priced and halal - key for future visits with friends. We packed up enough food for the trip home & were the envy of travelers at LaGuardia. Take the time to visit!

The food is seasoned well and very fresh. The fact that everything is homemade is a plus. If you're like me, you get disappointed when fed veggies out of a can. Lol They have an excellent variety as well. Try it, you won't regret it.

After a show we found Soul Spot while wondering around Fort Greene. It was a lovely night, warm and the music and outside patio drew us in. There was a liveliness to Soul Spot. You can sit outside at picnic tables have a bite to eat and a few drinks. The patio is a surrounded by a chain link fence... More

Soul Spot is a modesty decorated restaurant offering fantastic food. The jerk chicken, candied yams, and mashed potatoes are my favorite items on the menu, but everything here is good. The portions are ample, the prices are very reasonable for NYC, and the is service quick.

The food was soooooo good! Fried chicken is very well done; the jerked chicken is not so spicy but great flavor! Mac and cheese was thick and tasty. Overall great comfort food!

Stew chicken came off the bone perfectly! Peas and rice like no where else north of Grand Army Plaza. Veggies were fresh and cooked to the right texture.

have eaten from this place countless times, great for when you need a good, hearty, filling meal, always satisfies my hunger. Only problem is when you order late, say after 8, the food doesn't taste as fresh, like it has been sitting there for a couple hours.

Small spot in downtown Brooklyn close to Boerum Hill! Easily the best soul food I've eaten in NYC! They have all the favorites everyday, never run out, and give you generous portions. I normally have to break up my meal into two sittings to finish it all - but I do! Not a lot of room to actually dine in... More
