Neighborhoody restaurant with French theme. Have gotten bad service in past but this trip service was good. Food well prepared and drinks (especially the Mules) were great.

Love this place on Smith st. been here 3-4 times with colleagues & now took the significant other. It's a quirky little bar/cafe/ restaurant.having lived in France/CH for many years I enjoy their food which is pretty good. You have a Parisian feel with some Brooklyn funk & charisma.especially if your there for the band on Wednesday night. The moules/... More

While being seated at dinner in the cluttered restaurant, I cut my finger badly when I accidentally knocked a glass over while being directed to squeeze past a too-close adjacent table. The staff showed no concern, never once asking if I was ok, and did not respond when my partner asked for the manager to come help me in the... More

I had dinner with a couple, including an old friend. It was a great place to meet and catch up. Everything came together to make it an enjoyable evening. We shared a couple of appetizers. The tuna tartare was excellent. The baked clams were good but uninspired. I had the couscous which was very satisfying. They had the salmon and... More

Friends in the legal field who often spend time in the nearby courts recommended Bar Tabac, and it was terrific. Despite the volume in the front from the live band, our table in the rear was quiet enough for conversation, and costly situated without being cramped. Both our wines by the glass and our food were very good indeed, and... More

Everyone had a great time, starting with a very reasonable ($32) Cote du Rhone which everyone loved. Not exactly Paris, but good French style cooking. I had coq au vin, which was very flavorful - everybody got a bite and it got big raves. Others had mussels, a hamburger, salad and squid ink pasta with shrimp - everyone was happy.... More

We reserved a table at Bar Tabac on New Years Eve as we had heard som many positive comments about this restaurant and about their Moulles frittes. I even pointed out in our request to book a table that we wanted that dish. We were very disapointed when we arrived to the restaurant that they only served a special menu... More

Very friendly, great breakfast on Christmas morning. Much better option than breakfast in a hotel. Great cappuccino. Atmosphere is intimate, French cafe style. You won't be rushed from your table, at least on Christmas morning!

Went for drinks only. There was a Spanish duo singing flamenco songs. The drinks were expensive but the ambiance well worth the brief visit. Couldn't rate the food as we had drinks only.

Excellent location, great food. We ate outside and started with the onion soup which was excellent. The goat cheese salad and the kale salad were also excellent. Our server, Oscar, was over the top in his level of service. The people watching was icing on the cake.
