Battista is located on Avenue N and the corner of East 46 Street. Itis a restaurant of lovely decor. It is light and airy. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive. The soul of thios restaurant is its great sea food. I am not a shellfish fan, but hoose in my party who were enjoyed the mussels, shrimp, and calamari.... More

Made an early reservation and were promptly seated at a nice booth. Wine list is limited, but they had a decent Italian Cabernet. Good variety on menu with many specials. Service was good, but room a bit noisy due to open doors.. A bit pricey, but decent neighborhood location. Parking in street.

We have been to this restaurant once before and enjoyed the food and good service, so felt pretty comfortable coming back. This time, however, we were very disappointed. Pizza was inedible and salads uncreative. Some dishes were tasty (such as bruschetta chicken) and some were not at all (the lamb chops). The service was sub par and the wine selection... More

Great appetizers esp. Fruti di mare saled. Pastas were fantastic - fusilli with short rib ragu. Specials terrific too.

The first time I went here I was supprised after reading so many NEGATIVE reviews with both the staff and food, the food and service was amasing. So my wife and I decided to return again expecting the same. The staff was the same and found that the staff and food SUCKS. Service was POOR served people who they knew... More

We just enjoyed another great meal here. This is the third time we have absolutely enjoyed our entire dining experience. We did have reservations for a sat night and I would advise you to make them for the weekend at least. They had very interesting specials as well as a great menu. Aps can be shared, the calamari was perfect.... More

Very quaint Italian Restaurant off Flatbush Ave in Old Mill Basin, Brooklyn. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. As it filled up the noise level went up too many levels. The food was enjoyable, though pricey. The gnocchi was great as was the rigatoni with bolognese sauce. A lot of specials were available. Not the best food I've eaten, but... More

This was the third and last time I will eat at this restaurant. The fried calamari was greasy and salty on half the dish. The potato encrusted salmon was overcooked salmon swimming in a creamy mustard sauce with mashed potatoes dropped on top. The vegetables were swimming in the sauce also. Prices were way too high for the area or... More

Friendly staff and service. Many specials to consider. Recommend experimenting with Battista's many appetizers including fried calamari and antipasto. We were part of a gang of nine, and we chose the raviolis, whole manila clams with pasta, and the tiramisu dessert all served with the hearty house Chianti. See pics. Enjoyed all. Battista Pluses: * Crusty bread * Complimentary rice... More
