Went here and tried their milanesa torta because a friend recommended it. It was excellent the best I've had in Brooklyn. I also tried the guacamole which tasted very fresh and enjoyed it. I like how they do their nachos, flat and round. Friendly and helpful staff too.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was good and full of flavour. Also plenty of choice for the two vegetarians in our party. Sensible price. Good atmosphere.

The Mexican food competition has finally heated up in the North Crown Heights area, thankfully. So we hit other places mostly, we never eat there - too crowded with out of neighborhood people and uncomfortably tight seating. We really miss the little old oddness of the Classon spot. - The Mole is very good here, the only thing I order... More

I was just round the corner from Chavellas when I lived in Crown Heights and my god its bloody amazing. I am yet to find a Mexican that rivals its vibe, food and cocktails. You usually have to que to get in but its totally worth it. Start your evening with a Don pepino and make sure you try their... More

Enjoyed the fish taco's and mixed drinks. Outside seating or dine-in. Great ambiance. Would recommend for a date or out with friends. Tight spacing to bring children.

Delicious food and dynamic funky atmosphere. Really felt like being amongst the Brooklyn locals. The soft shell pescado taco was excellent.

My wife and I plus our daughter and her roommate went here for Sunday brunch. It was magnifico! Everything that we ordered sounded - and tasted - wonderful! Authentic Tex-Mex cuisine in a close quarters restaurant is what you can expect. But who cares about the close quarters? Everyone was friendly and so accommodating that it made the entire experience... More

This is a lively fun Tex/Mex restaurant I usually visit on my bi-annual visits to NYC. Not the place for a quiet chat as it's usually jammed and noisy. Drinks are imaginative but as one recent reviewer noted they seemed little weaker on my last visit. Guacamole is definitely recommended and you can't really go wrong with any of the... More

Love this place. Great Mexican food prepared well in a fun atmosphere. They are SO authentic that they use things like a pre-prepared spicing mix for their rice that has artificial food coloring in it... just like in Mexico. That's cool, and I applaud their dedication to the cause, but just a heads-up to fellow folks with food allergies: when... More

This quaint little corner café/restaurant was the perfect place to catch a meal after a big day in NY! The atmosphere was great! staff were so welcoming and friendly and assisted in explaining what each meal entailed and what they recommended. It is quite cozy inside, but It really has such a great vibe that my family had to go... More
