The food here is outstanding. I had the bacon wrapped, shrimp stuffed, chicken breast and it was delicious! All of the sides were outstanding as well as the soft-pretzel appetizer! Very good food, worth every penny!!

My husband and I went after my parents suggested it and he has never had German food like I have and he feel in love with the food and beer. They give you so much food but the flavors taste of heaven and I do not drink but the Hufbru beer was delicious.

There is lots of unearned hype about this place locally. It is not a terrible place to eat but it is not on my personal top 20 spots in Fredericksburg. It is pricey and the ambiance and staff were just average. You won't be disappointed as long as you don't go in believing the local hype on this place.

Was a bit leery due to some negative reviews but, we loved it. Having been to Germany, I found the food very authentic and quite plentiful. The prices were a little high but considering that we took a box home, it was more than enough for two meals. The service was outstanding! Loved the red cabbage!! If you like German... More

Surprised at how authentic the food is. I can't spell the names, but good to eat. The sausages and pork roast were the favorites. They know apples, and offer them several different ways.

Stopped here for a business lunch. The food and service were both amazing! - Actually, more food than I could eat for lunch without being out of commission for the rest of the day!

The Bavarian Chef was fantastic. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the food was fantastic. The food portions were huge. The side dishes were served family style and there were so many options. Fresh bread was also brought to the table and large warm pretzels were served. The restaurant is in the heart of the Downtown Fredericksburg... More

Driving from Richmond to D.C. And we decided to stop for dinner in Fredericksburg. We stumbled on this place after a schnitzel craving and couldn't have been happier. It's an old train station turned Bavarian restaurant. All of the food was amazing. The service was excellent. There's a cozy fire for those chilly evenings. Great drink selection and the dessert...
