Enjoyed (another) delicious meal of wide variety of tapas. Bartender was fantastic assisting us with taps ideas and accompanying wine. Hip vibe. Just wish I could hear the tunes.

Terrific place for an informal dining experience. Lots of great small dishes and unusual brews at a reasonable price. Great place to come with friends for a fun evening. The tapas selections are varied and tasty from octopus to Spanish hams and cheeses. The atmosphere is always up beat but can be noisy (it's a pretty large place). The place... More

Hosted a dinner of 13, and the place was buzzing, with a long wait for those with no reservation. Decided to let wait staff pick their top selections and were not disappointed. Highlights were scallops, mussels, short ribs, chorizo & figs, eggplant, and steak. Nice drink list with good sangria. Wait staff was very attentive, with great spacing of the... More

Creative food. Tapas in a broad way, not conventional and creative. You can find the typical ones, but also some surprises, like 'caponata', that fits in the style of the tapas and it's delicious but it's originally from Sicily. I loved everything I tried.

Very large tapas bar, with long tables which makes it great if you want to go with a large group. The bread is excellent (recently baked) and there is good variety of food although the "authenticity" of the tapas vary a lot. Some of them were the same you would find in a bar in Spain, others were not recognizeable... More

Went with a group of girlfriends on a Friday night. It was crowded but we were seated within fifteen minutes of our reservation and they accommodated our changing number of guests. It is a noisy party atmosphere so be prepared on weekends. Tapas were all excellent as was the wine.

Same food as the Barcelona's in the South End, but much quieter and free parking at meters (after 8pm). Interesting selection of small plates and wines by the glass. I much prefer this location.

In the summer/spring/fall, try to sit outside. Nice terrace, lively, and fun. The inside can get very noisy and sometimes the a/c is too cold. I live near-by and came her e many-many times, I'll only sit outside. They don't take rez for outside, so you need to come early or late. Food is fabulous and the menu changes often.... More

These guys are getting greedy. They are taking reservations with no intent of seating customers. The noise is deafening. They are losing control of the experience.

Hi I am sorry to hear that we are not living up to the expectations we have in the past. I sounds like you had a pretty bad visit and I would like to hear more about it. Waiting to long a for a table can really change the entire dining experience and ruin it right from the start. I... More

Description
Barcelona meets Brookline, and a sophisticated Boston neighborhood has a wine bar to call its own. A historic town located minutes from downtown Boston, Brookline is the perfect mixture of urban and country living. From large estates and recreational parks to boutiques and pedestrian-filled streets, Brookline offers a city atmosphere in a suburban setting. Located in Washington Square at 1700 Beacon Street, Barcelona is the newest addition to this lively neighborhood dining destination. A mix of antique wire glass, steel and reclaimed wood gives our newly built space a vintage appeal. The rustic, polished environment is the next best thing to eating tapas and drinking wine in our restaurant's namesake city. With hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and spacious patio, the space has a European charm which fills the menu as well.
