Had lunch here and they literally served me chunks of chicken that were completely raw on one side. They took the plate away, asked me if I wanted a replacement, and that was the end of it. Completely putting public's health at risk. Unacceptable hygiene, shame on them.

This downtown Mediterranean restaurant is run by a young man who is friendly and helpful. The food was good. The portions were ok. My mother in law, prefers the portions at the Chaklov location. My husband loved the Gyros.

There are two brothers that own the two Jerusalem Cafes in the Couve. This is the better of the two in terms of food quality...but, take that comment with a pinch of salt. Neither brother will honor the others coupons, advertisements or agreements and seem to play customers off between the two restaurants. More hassle than I want to deal... More

Best gryo in town imo. Love their chicken-on-fire and yes, try the Shawarma! Also if you enjoy tea, have their Jerusalem Hot Tea.

A few years ago while visiting Vancouver, we had lunch at the Jerusalem Cafe on the East side of town. Although fairly good, we received a lot of recommendations to visit the downtown location for great Middle Eastern cuisine. So we went one Saturday evening a few months ago and were disappointed both with the food and the atmosphere. Having... More

Centrally located in downtown, just around the corner from the Kiggins Theater, Niche Wine and Art Bar, and Angst Gallery. Perfect to catch lunch or dinner before a movie or on First Friday during the art walk. Try the hummus, olives, or something more exotic. You won't regret this choice for great food and service.

I lived in Jerusalem for a year in the early 2000's. I ate a LOT of falafel that year. This was not the falafel I ate in Jerusalem. It was still tasty and plentiful, but it was not in any way, authentic. This is probably what a person from China would say about Chinese food in the US. Perfectly respectable... More
