Great food in an historic setting. Cozy, friendly, welcoming place. Service was prompt and attentive without being pushy. Food was well-prepared with good ingredients and well-presented. We ate well, including 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 2 entrees and 3 drinks for $100. Would be worth a return visit if we are ever back in Savannah.

I had 4 people in my group and we had called the day prior with a reservation for 4 people at 7pm. We arrived about 5 minutes early and were told our table wasn't ready yet and to wait in the lounge/bar area and they would come get us soon. We were able to grab a drink while we waited... More

This is a hotel/restaurant, however we've only visited the bar twice. It's a cool hang out spot a few blocks from river street. We walked (crawled) there so its doable. The drinks were fairly priced and the staff was very friendly. Also ask your server about the permanent resident, very interesting story.

This isn't on the beaten tourist path by the water front so the atmosphere is on an entirely different level. The menu is amazing. But before you get that far the honey drizzled biscuits will please even the most demanding palate. The service staff was impeccable, if you can get John as your server youy can trust him implicitly. I... More

Great bar area while we waited for our table. I messed up the reservation time but they accommodated us nicely. The owner stopped to get us started. Best shrimp and grits I've ever had. The honey biscuit they give you is worth every carb! Great dinner. Would highly recommend!

This restaurant is part of an inn. It is a fairly intimated room. The food was excellent. I had the Neptune and my wife had grouper. Both were terrific. There was a piano player who was very good and added a lot to the atmosphere. Check out the "Cheers" bar in the back. Try this place. It stands out in... More

As is our practice, we consult Trip Advisor for suggestions on restaurants in the area when traveling. Several of our choices were closed due to it being Sunday, so after reading the reviews, decided to give 17 Hundred 90 a try. Upon entering, we loved the old tavern style of the restaurant and the piano player added to the initial... More

atmosphere would have been great in a modern building but throw in the 18th century decor and you had a great dinning experience. The steak was very good and my fish dish was also very good. service was excellent

My girlfriend had me tag along here for a dinner with friends. Restaurant is in an inn, on the bottom floor. It's classified as fine dining, but when you walk in it reminds you of a nice sports pub. The bar was livelier than the rest of the restaurant. Our server was aloof and seemed ready to get off. Forgot... More
